No, I'm not positive of the issue. The speaker will move in/out when tested with a battery, but not to the extent of the other drivers. It also tests 1.1 ohm. I think that is too low. I may try a different multi-meter just to make sure I'm getting the correct reading. I removed the driver under this one and seen where the negative terminals were bonded together. The more I dig into this the more and more revealing. When I was in electronics school and trying to understand current flow or how a circuit worked my instructors would answer questions with, "it F-in magic, that's all I can tell you." I'm applying that knowledge to a lot of what I'm seeing. I will look at the schematic again tonight to try to figure it all out.

Anyone with a suggestion at repairing the driver or can explain the 1.1 ohm in the MW6511, I'm all ears....

All indications are that you have a fried 6511. I don't know how magnet shift would reduce the DC resistance to 1.1 ohms. There's a table on this site that lists driver specs, but I can't find it at the moment. I'm thinking they're supposed to be 3 or 4 ohm.

Does it move smoothly? If so, it's toast. If not, you could build a jig to support the driver and then play with the magnet.

    "I" would buy another driver.
