Trust me, you will want to hear your 2.3TL's with these caps in them. Detail, transparancy, soundstage, and imaging is off the charts good. These are much better than the Sonicaps, IMO.
Taken from a recent Audioholics reply regarding "Club Polk" and Polk speakers:
"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion."
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

What no love for the SDA 1C's.
4.4 uF, 12 uF, 20 uF and maybe 40 uF (Could use 2 20's).
The big question is are they the 250 Vdc or 630 Vdc, IMO the 630 Vdc is just over kill.“The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.” ~ Mark Twain -
They will be 630V
I can 1C as well if we get 5 people into it!- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
That will be enough to do the pair, (left and right) SDA 2.3Tls speakers, right?
So I got in $200 for the 2 boards from gimpod and $385 for the caps, $585. So do you know about where I am on the rest of the parts? That would be minus the inductors of course. :cool:I have talked to Jesse about this in the past -

Resistors would be maybe 20-30 tops
I can also include Mundorf resistors in the order if you want, just let me know

Vr3 I'd only be interested in the 250V ones for my 1C's.“The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.” ~ Mark Twain -
At this time I am unable to acquire 250V Clarity Cap, its a different agreement, sorry . But if we can manage to get 5 people in for a pair I will see if I can raise enough hell to the right people- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.

I just put in a request for 250v for the 1c, will let you know- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.

Some claim the 630v version sounds better...I've never compared them myself though."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche

Interest list so far is
Polkieman
BRGMAN
F1NUT
We can obviously go more than 5 too- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
Yea sorry that's right so $100 for the 2 boards  and $385 for the caps and are the Mundorf resistors better than the Mills? I guess if am going to go to the high road do it all the way.I would say yes or at least I sure hope so.
That's 4 boards, enough for 2 sets of SDA's. according to my records.
Just resistors and hardware, Welcome to the rabbit hole.

I honestly like Mundorf Mox a bit better than Mills, Mills seems a little more colored- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.

lol... there are only two resistors on the 2.3TL crossover!
If you want to go with Mundorf Mox resistors, add $5.00 on to your total!
Thanks!- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
If you're going all out, go Duelund."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche

True that...- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.

The best cap out of all of them and nearly equal to the best duelunds are the Clarity cap MR's.. However they are even more expensive than the Mundorfs best, but they are better than any of the mundorfs if you want solid dynamics, super smooth distortion free, and the best bass.
Here's the place to buy the Claritycaps. And make sure they are the new, blue-colored MR caps. Much more expensive, but well worth it.:

Correction on the previous post, $10.00 for Mundorf resistors
Clarity Cap MR would be over a thousand bucks to do the 2.3TL and I can also do a bulk buy on that for correct values but the ESA is real close to the MR and a fraction of the cost...- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -

lol.. well for 30% of the cost of the MR I would say it is close...

Now just an option
If you guys wants to go MR on the tweeter network this is of course an option
Just say the word and I will do a price for that - just need 5 people for whatever you guys decide on- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -

I highly recommend Duelund resistors as Face and VR3 have said. IMO, they are more transparent, detailed and have less coloration (towards being slightly too warm) than the Mills or Mundorf. If you like the coloration of the Mills, then by all means go for it. Mills are still not as detailed however. The Duelunds are much more expensive than the Mills and Mundorf resistors, but if this is your "final" crossover upgrade (until the next one) then I highly suggest Duelund Cast resistors. They are worth the money for either 2 resistors (or 4 if you are putting them in the polyswitch spot). Don't question it, just do it and be happy.

VR3- I'm interested in the price for the 250V when you get a quote. 300+ is past my budget right now. Just got my 2.3TL's father's day and have rings on the way, spikes ready to be installed as well as dynamat ready. Gimpods boards are calling me and now you have to post this.... my wallet really hates this board.2-ch System: Parasound P/LD 2000 pre, Parasound HCA-1000 amp, Parasound T/DQ Tuner, Phase Technology PC-100 Tower speakers, Technics SL-1600 Turntable, Denon 2910 SACD/CD player, Peachtree DAC iT and X1asynchorus USB converter, HSU VTF-3 subwoofer.

Hey guys,
Unfortunate news is my distributor is unwilling to order parts that are so close to what they actually normally stock - so this is dead in the water.
This includes 250v...
Was worth a shot right??? @_@
I can still do those prices for those of you comfortable with 8.2uf, 5.6uf, etc etc- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.
