does anyone know the actual power of this thing? I find it strange that BK rate many of their stuffs at 1khz.

It's a full 125 watts into a 8 ohm load from 20hz to 20khz no problem. B&K 's amps are very strong and sound fantastic. It will drive 4 ohm load speakers at 185 watts all channel driven 20 to 20.
If you need a power amp and you have a medium to large room , this amp will not disappoint. I've owned and Installed them for over a decade and never once came up short in the power department.

Not to mention they are sweet sounding amps , Arguably the best in class.
