I believe @boston1450 has a pair of those. I think. Maybe. Perhaps he can tell you what he thinks.

. Very Good deal for those if everything is in order. I cant tell you how they compare to 11's. Way better than the 8's i had. Very flexible speaker with different selection of music. Placement is better if you have the space-as there is a rear passive also.

If those 1.2's were near me, and they started with 1.2 tl I would grab them, even at that price. After all, they are already fully modded. The only thing they are missing is The Fortress/Abbot crossovers. And he did do them with the right components already.

You can upgrade 1.2's to 1.2tl's

I believe Polk even sold TL kits for the 1.2's back in the day, it even came with the extra wooden brace you had to glue in the cabinet behind the PR..

They are Larry's Rings and he did mention this here forum. The dude is from Texas, Man they are big and a lot more cash could be thrown at them. Adding 8 tweeters minimally then the other incidentals plus shipping those suckers. No wonder they have been passed from family member to C/L. Question, is this the model w/ that back brace thing ??

I noticed all of those parts were on the dining room table. How many wives would let their man put those parts on the table?

I have rebuilt car engines in my dining room.

But it's OK at my house since I am unmarried. And I have a few boxes of motorcycle magazines in my guest bathroom too. No women living here. >:)

If original $300.00 tops, and only if in excellent condition.

Seems high. I purchased SDA-1C speakers in January of this year for $225 from CL. Have you tried Search Tempest to discover other SDA speakers within a given number of miles from your current location?

I did not know about Tempest. Thanks for that.
I guess I can always offer him my price and see if he takes it. I think $300 would be fair. They are 5 minutes away from me. That is why I am tempted. Thanks for your opinions.

I think $475 asking price is high, but I think that $225 for 1Cs is a rare find and not a good representation of value. Show me a few other current 1Cs listed for this price anywhere. They are a $400-$500 speaker in decent shape. 1Bs are generally $100 drop from the Cs and 1As are another $100 down from that.
