Boston: Congratulations. You are going to love the Polk SDA 2Bs. I have a pair of SDA 2B TL speakers which I bought from a fellow forum member back in January and I absolutley love them. I am glad you got them. I am curious - how did you arrange to have them shipped from Colorado to Maine and, if you do not mind me asking, how much did shipping cost? Enjoy them! They are great speakers!

I paid 130.00 for shipping..i have 2 trucks that would cost me more in gas to just go to Portland Maine. So to my doorstep for 130.00 i am happy. I will be extremely happy if they make it here intact....i had some just like it and last year i decided to do something stupid as we sold our house. I sold the sda's..and it haunted me since. So i do plan on upgrading..i tried to buy some M10's that were mint & do upgrades to them. I lost out on bid..then i saw these and figured why not..it is going slow though. They havent even shipped them yet. So im in AWE wondering.........

Boston: I'd say you did pretty well, cost-wise, on shipping because SDA 2Bs are very heavy - each speaker weighs about 80lbs.
I drove about 7 hours r/t to Pennsylvania (from Albany, NY) to get mine so the gas and tolls alone probably cost me over 60 dollars.
You are going to love them. I always thought my Monitor 10s (w/Peerless tweeter) were my favorite-sounding speakers of all. But my Monitor 10s have not gotten any use at all since I got the the SDA 2B TLs. The SDAs are that much better, if you can believe it.

That's a good question. Is it because of long cold winter months when people don't get out a lot so home entertainment is a big thing. I don't know but it makes logical sense.
