Anyone know Sid's stance on the 150 vs. 70?

Personally I like Sid, he's south of the hyper line, but overall he means well.

But Brett does make a valid post. Sid can get on these post tangents, and he can get stubborn. And the two don't mix. I have read too many of the 150/70 debate and now when I see a thread involving the two I ignore it.

I think Sids undoing on this forum was not properly setting up his DVD player. Then throwing a fit to the people who were trying to help him.

And I think Brett is trying to make it clear that he would like Sid to stay out of the 150/70 threads for a while so people can get objective posts about them without starting a war. Then the whole forum comes off looking stupid.

Max.......I'm very happy. Just ask bigsexy/Jstas. I'm impressed that you haven't run across Sid's comments on these speakers even once, considering that any thread regarding the two, or even individually, gets the EXACT SAME arguements/comments EVERY time.

Faster....The only long term "**** LIST" in which you believe you're on is totally in your head. Since you've mentioned it several times, I take that to mean you believe that there's a master plan with regard to your future here. (doesn't that sound kinda.....um.....stupid?)

Avelanchefan.....Thank you. My point was really just to point out that it's not necessary to ****/moan EVERY time about the SAME speakers like he's done. Seperately, but very similarily, Bigsexy feels "attacked" when I mention his famous statements origin. (even though he makes it EVERY time about those imparticular speakers) <<shrug>> I don't remember the DVD stuff with Sid....I just have an overall irritance with seeing the same stuff over and over and OVER AND OVER AND OVER again.

Whew, I'm glad you are happy. That is a load off of my mind! I guess I don't really follow Sids posts as closely as you do. Maybe he does go too far. Does he do this in your threads? Why not ask him to stop posting on threads you start?

i'll just say that i don't think there are any "real" issues with the board. i'm sure there are plenty of members just like me who really don't care and don't ever get involved in these discussions (if you can even call them that).

I can't believe I'm about to say this, but Sid, don't leave the forum just because you get on Brett's nerves. I'm sure that you haven't gotten on anyone else's nerves more than you have mine (with the possible exeption of maybe Troy and Russ), and while I did view the results of it, I haven't even voted in this poll. If I had voted in it, we all know which way it would have been, but I didn't.
To try to openly humiliate a forum member like this seems to have backfired on ole' Brett. It seems like the tide has turned the other way now back towards him judging by the most recent posts. Reminds me of Jimmy Swaggart, Rush Limbaugh, etc. who openly criticize and condemn other's actions, but when they inevitably screw up themselves, and the mirror is held back in their direction towards them, it's a different story then. Besides, he caused me to get put in the hall of shame for the first time!:eek: I'm surprised this thread hasn't also been put there yet.

No, No! Not the little cubes! They will cause a desire to become deaf. The 901's are comparably huge. 21" x 13" x 13". You could fit about 25 of those little cubes in one 901...

Agree with Tour on the first part. Each time the RTi line goes on closeout we get an influx of similar posts.

Far as Sid goes, look, I got no real issues with him except that he thinks he knows everything, can't take constructive criticism and, I agree with Russ, needs to cut down on the nonsense posts. Personally, now that I think of it, the lad just craves attention for whatever reason.

As far as the using the analog outs on the DVD player, if you like the internal DAC's better than those in the preamp/receiver....why not?

FWIW, brett is a good guy too. Gotta admire a guy that's not afraid to speak his mind, especially when most of the time it's something that the majority of us probably agree with but won't say anything.
