You are heading in the right direction. I'm using similar set up Polk RTi 12 front, CSi 40 center & TSi 100s for surround side and rear. I have an old JVC RX8030V receiver w/pre-outs as a processor. I picked up a used Parasound HCA 1206 amp for $800.00 from Hanson AV. I bi amp channels 1 & 2 into the CSi 40 and bridge 3 & 4 to right front and 5 & 6 to the left front. This gives me two 135 amp channels driving the center and one 350 amp bridged channel driving each of the front speakers. The 350 amps into the RTi 12s really changed the sound and I chose Parasound because it is a warm sounding amplifier.
I did bi-wire the RTi 12s with Audioquest Rocket 33. I tried 12 awg copper wire sounded good switched to Audioquest Rockets sounded better. Used Monster THX V100R for interconnects sounded good up graded to Wire World Silver Eclipse 6 interconnects sounds much better.

My B&K amp has ultra cheap **** aluminum posts, flimsy and shallow, so the bananas are barely holding in. Why didn't B&K make a nice post in that expensive amp? And what's the point of using expensive cables downstream?

This thread is about bi-wiring though. I have read about that from several different sources and I must admit, in theory it absolutely makes sense. In practice, put my life on the line in a blind test - i couldn't tell you if my speakers are biwired or not.

I have found that tube based computers provide the best sound quality. ENIAC and MANIAC I offer a smooth, well defined and articulated sound unmatched by the current silicon based CPUs.
But as in all things your perception is your reality.

I guess alot of this depends on how revealing your speakers are. I've tried the regular jumper plates, 2 sets of upgraded jumpers along with 2 different bi-wire cables on the same speaker using the same gear and source material. My current bi-wire set gives a smoother top end over the other choices I had.

However, that means squat as some will hear a difference and some won't. Bottom line is try for yourself, there is no right or wrong.

Blanket questions are deserving of blanket answers. Best AVR....Best amp....Best cable.....best speaker, you need a heck of alot more info than just asking whats best.
