The only people who will say all alcohol sounds the same are the ones who have not tried all types of alcohol. Some will have not tried any alcohol at all, while relying on what they read on various naysayer cult Internet sites as the gospel truth.

I have no experience with Alcohol outside of an occasional beer, but I can state with absolute certainty that alcohol sucks, period. You don't need 80 proof or better to get the same efffect that a couple bottles of a good beer will provide. All beers however, are not created equal. Alcohol(hard liquors) are a waste of time and money.

I assume John is kidding above, though there are some fine beers. The sky is the limit in fine spirits! I suppose they'll all get you just as wasted but some do so without making you feel like a cheap **** the next day! lol

As for me, scotch is very nice, but there is nothing like a fine Cognac!

A long time friend of mine told me back in the day he did some "acid" , while he was in this LSD powered altered state he was playing The Beatles at one point The Beatles where setup and playing on the LP Rubber Soul and moved around with the record as it spun. I don't know isf it improved the sound but the visuals where cool.

That's cheap, usually go for $200+ USD.

Can I just say I find it highly ironic that a Canadian would use ounces instead of the metric milliliter to describe a measurement :lol:

You know, I can't recall if the price I saw for the bottle was a sale price or not. I've only seen it one time at a liquor store and not since then.

I'll be keeping my eyes open next time I head to the LC.

I hate doing conversions. Should be one standard all around.

On the other hand, somethings I refer in metric. Depends on what it`s about. Height and Weight I refer to in feet and inches and pounds.

And let's not forget our "Audiophile" grade notebook & pen so we can take proper "Golden Ear" notes as we sip our suds. We have to make sure the piano is placed correctly & the 5th pluk of the guitar string is where it should be. Even notice the more one drinks how the placement parameters do change.

Why would you even bother to listen to music where the piano is out of place and the 5th pluck sounds like it's a piece of twine? Really Phil, why?:cheesygrin::lol:

Not worth the effort, IMO. Just get an AM radio

Brock, are you kidding me. There's nothing like listening to how the piane keeps moving in the soundstage & the guitar pluks have more air around them...of course this is dependant on the amount of sips one has par taken of. The more the merrier. It gets worse though when you drop the pen & you can't find it to write your notes down. I never thought AM could deliver this kind of a soundstage!! :surprised::wink::mrgreen:

System sounds better with lights off than on ?
System sounds better at night rather than during daylight ?
System sounds better when listening alone ?

Then, just at daybreak, a group of drunk friends drop by, turn on the lights, and it all goes to crap ?
