It took me years and big bucks to get mine right. Now when I listen to CDs I get annoyed at how they sound and even with some big CD upgrades it still annoys me. Vinyl is where its at.
    Vinyl, the final frontier...

Avantgarde horns, 300b tubes, thats the kinda crap I want... :D

Maybe that is the problem a lot people have with vinyl is they do not have everything setup correctly or have abused or damaged albums.

It has been a few weeks since I have spun some vinyl, I am going fix that tonight.

there are so many good points here..i am looking at a turntabke tonight....i agree with all these facts. where music means so much to me im thinking this will open the doors to a new chapter in my life. i plan on upgrading my cd system but at this point i think TT will bring the spark back to my ears....i will keep youall updated. i have purchased albums and im egar to place one on the table..its a small investment and it may bring joy to my ears.....i have really enjoyed rereading this thread and processing information that will guide me to help do this without damaging albums not knowing what im doing. thanx for feedback all....randy

The main thing is to have fun with it! Sounds like you're on the right track (pun intended )

When you get your TT do some research and get a compatible cartridge, and spend as much as you can afford on that. Cartridge's have a huge effect on sound quality.

When I had mine in my system separate phone stages were not common. I would suppose a great phono stage would be equally important.

    And then there's. . . . . . . . . .damn! headed straight down the rabbit hole
