    It seems to me that that's highly unlikely as a mechanical failure and might be due to the "endless" firmware upgrades that usually take 15 minutes or so to accomplish.

    That certainly is another possibility.

    I'm just curious why everyone is spelling "lens" with an extra "e"
    no malicious intent, just honestly curious.

    Funny ... it didn't shock me at all, but:
    Although the variant spelling "lense" is listed in some dictionaries, the standard spelling for those little disks that focus light is "lens."
    I suppose the most common daily use is for "contact lenses", so it's tempting to just drop the "s" for the singular.

    thanks for that. I could see that happening. I was wondering if it were a British thing. lol
    Sometimes people question my spelling of the color "grey." I was taught to spell it with an "e", but modern spelling has adopted the misspelling with an "a" decades ago, and is widely taught. Interesting stuff.
