Very cool styling, I am assuming it is a vinyl finish though and a plastic front...

Would be curious to hear how they sound....

The dust cap plugs are interesting looking. Reminds me of a lava lamp for some reason.

If you bring up the 65's description, theres a cool video, with Paul DiCuomo, demonstrating the BASS radiator.
    I guess this is replacing the 350's & 450's? Hopefully it's better

The SM450 was a great speaker with a little tweaking...

The new Definitive styling was distinctive I doubt it is as high quality as it looks. Most of their new offerings have as much plastic as wood...

I'm waiting t'll we put a few of them on our showroom floor. I'm looking forward to hearing them. They look like really nice bookshelf speakers. If they sound anything like the new BP series they will be a hit.

I agree, however, the descriptions look interesting. Seems like the cones "slide" on the inner part on the drivers. Also, the radiator on top of the 55's is different.

As far as those prices go, give it about 90 days and you will be able to buy them 30% off ;) I am sure... Definitive is always marked at list...

Sure enough we got in a pair of 55's so I'll be able to hear them first hand. I'll post some comments after a good listen.
