I'm also voting that you sell on Craigslist. -
I wonder what they'll use on the Walking Dead when all the gas gets too old. Diesel?

One other possibility that I forgot to mention is to add some "octane booster", it's the stuff that I used to use in an old muscle car that hated the new lower octane gas. One bottle should revive it to a useable state, maybe two.

How will boosting the octane revive it? If the gas is old enough it will varnish, and that will gum up carbs and injectors, and stick to the insides of the tank. If it's not removed it can mix with the new gas you put in the tank, and still gum up the carbs.
If it hasn't varnished, I would just mix a gallon or two at a time with fresh gas when you fill up, as suggested above. -
You say tomato, I say tomato.....wait..... it Varnishing occurs inside lines, carbs etc. from sitting over time. I have never seen a tankfull turn to varnish, and probably never will when the gas is only 2 yrs. old. If it were mine....I'd take it to the proper collection center for safe disposal or, if only a small amount, I'd kill weeds with it. Give it to the Gator's for a bonfire !

I've seen it varnish and gum up the carbs in motorcycles stored for the winter, 5 months tops. I've also seen much older gas that didn't. -
That's my point, where it's in a small confine with the addition of air you will get varnish, in a tank that's sealed....not so much.

I've had countless occaisions where the gas in the float-bowl wouldn't start a Kohler engine but, after dumping the bowl and letting in the gas from the tank (also oldish) , bada bing, ignition and lift-off ! 48 years in a farm setting with many, many fuel tanks to deal with I've been able to manage OK.

If you decide not to use it, just take it down to your neighborhood snappy lube and they'll dispose of it properly.

I seen gasoline turn Carbs to crap were I needed to clean them out, but being fuel injected what happens? No air can enter near the injectors so I doubt that varnish is an issue, but more of an octane problem maybe?
