Can I use it, if mixed with good gas? Or what? Not sure how to get rid of it, if its a no go to use it.

How old? I've had gas set in the tank at the farm for up to 2 yrs and then just mixed it with some premium to bring up the octane of the mixture. Not recommended but it worked.

Got a lawn tractor, etc. ? Mix approx. 1/3 old gas with 2/3 new and you should be fine. I wouldn't burn it in any modern car, that's for sure! Leave on your front yard, theives'll get eventually but, you'll suffer the loss of a gas can too. Kills weeds too.

2 years old, I kind of given this owner that the gas needed to get out of there. But at the time I had nothing to do with this car, and someone else was to work on that. Now I'm eating my words, since I been asked to work on it.

My mother burned down our neighbors barn like that when I was a kid.
I was going to mention that usage also, but diesel is much safer, not to mention aftermarket chemicals.

Quit screwin' around with half-baked ideas and do it right.

    Get this stuff.

    1921118C.jpg

    http://www.goldeagle.com/brands/stabil/

You can get it at WAL-MART or any auto parts store. It's not just for storage. It will condition old gas as well. There are other brands as well from companies like Prestone, BAR-DHAL, Marvel and Castrol that will condition old fuel.

Follow the directions and go about your business.

Or don't. Nobody ever listens to me any way so I'm not sure why I bothered.

But that stuff has resurrected fuel that sat in a dilapidated boat at the Jersey shore for 3 winters. Ran a bit rough but it ran nonetheless.

interesting. I use it when I fill the mower gas can to keep it fresh.
But I really can't say I've ever tried to use it to revive old gas.
I know that using it with the mower means it's going to start 1st
    time in the spring.

So do I need to remove this gas? Or can I add that to the tank and use it right there?

BTW good stuff I use it for my pressure washer, and my generator gas. I didn't know you could use it after the fact.

Pour a gallon or two into your car's tank at every fill-up until is gone. Not going to hurt a thing when it's mixed with 15 gallons of fresh fuel. This is assuming the gas is clean & doesn't have a bunch of crud in it. I store gas for my portable generator for up to a year. I dump the entire 5 gallon container into a half empty tank then go fill up. Never a problem.

Stabilizer will stabilize NEW fuel, but it will not renew old fuel.

I personally like the sell it on CL idea, unless you have some local statute disallowing it.
