Put 'Polk Audio SDA' in search and join. Just put it up so there is nothing much there yet. Thought it would be a good place to discuss SDA's, post photos, and chat.

    All valid points.

As for me. I'm working on a site called "Whatsamattayoufacebook.com" A site for people who "love" facebook....not!

When Empires are built on Social Networking and people become "billionaires" for developing such sites and this is the future of the American Economy. Watch out, here come the Chinese and "they" can NOW produce any "real" product! Maybe they'll even "buy" Facebook! lol

Guess we have some democrat SOPA people on the list here. Even if...not sure what you are talking about. A FB page is not a copyright infringement. Putting up a page about something you like isn't illegal. There is no money trying to be made here or other. So you have a BMW Isetta, which was made over 40 years ago, and you put up an Isetta fan page...and you are committing a crime against BMW??? There are hundreds of Jerry Garcia and Grateful Dead pages...and only a couple are run by THE ACTUAL GRATEFUL DEAD. There are a gazillion Obama pages, Porsche pages, etc. You like the Ford Edsel parked in your garage and can't find a fb page...you gonna wait till Ford puts one up? You put up an Edsel page and you are doing something wrong?

Seems as though the SDA Club on here sorta laid a deuce and died a quiet death , I can only imagine what sort of flotsam an FB page would attract. It might be fun to watch. (more fun than the one here anyway)

Nah. We all have opinions. I love this polkforum site here, very much. If it wasn't for this forum, there are a number of things I would have done different with my system, and they all would have been bad. Love the help around here, love the vast knowledge, and the people are great. Also, I hope you can agree that by putting up a little page about Polk SDA speakers on fb is in no way meant to say/mean/do anything in controversy to this page or Polk Audio. Thing is...I, like many, happened to be logged in to facebook quite a bit. Joining fb pages is handy cause during the day the things you are interested in will just pop up there to see. You don't have to hit your bookmark and go to a site and search around...it just pops up. Additionally, just as you choose to enter this forum from your browser, you have the choice to like a fb page, or not. Obviously if you do not use facebook, you are welcome to just ignore all of this. Anyhoo, time to have a beer and watch football.

Next to Disco I think it's one of the worst perversions ever perpetrated by mankind. So as far as I'm concerned FB can F.O.A.D.!!

But I understand where you're coming from, it's just like in real life, some people don't talk to their own family so why would they seek out family on Facebook.

I joined the SDA Facebook Page!

Great Idea and I posted a bunch of my pics. I also joined Musical Fidelity's Page and I clicked like on Polk Audio's page plus I found some guy named the Tube King.

There was a really cool thing invented many years ago called a phone, there is also a post office and today we have email, where does one need Facebook to keep up with family??

And I use all those. I have sisters/brothers, nieces/nephews, etc. that use Facebook to post all the family pictures they take. No Facebook, no see the pictures so it's pretty simple. Same with texting. If I wait around for my 15 year old relatives to call me on their landline - I may be in for a long wait.
