Scotty,
My sister's name is Kelly -- survived two bouts with breast cancer ('95, '08), now fighting a return of cancer on chest wall. Stage 4, metasticized to bones but no organs (yet!). Also fighting dermatomyositis (presumably in reaction to the cancer). So, she's had a rough few months. Just started on oral chemo a few weeks ago.
Thanks so much for asking. She's 46, but she's still my only baby sister...
Any prayers you (and others) could send her way would be greatly appreciated!

Scott, I am glad to hear that Debbie's cancer is improving!
Randy, my thoughts are with you and your sister. -
Kelly is most certainly in ours and a lot of peoples prayers around here.
Try to stay positive, keep that good energy up, and remind each other often how blessed we are.
Just like with deb, Kelly is so fortunate to live when we do, where we do, there is hope, not too long ago, our loved ones would never have made it past the first bout.
Even once its in the bones, as with deb and kelly, many times they can treat it, and whilenot cured, the patient can live with it as a chronic disease like diabetes.
God bless, and keep us updated.humpty dumpty was pushed -
That is certainly great news, Scotty. Continued success with Debbie's treatments and may you both continue to have the gift of wisdom; It's all good if you let it.
And thanks, Evhudson, for sharing your experience.Sal Palooza -
Mr. bigbluelight, thanks for kind words.
BTW, I always liked your location, is that from a book or movie or something? really cool.humpty dumpty was pushed -
Scotty,
Thanks to you and all the others for your prayers and encouragement. If Kelly is anything, she's a fighter. She wasn't given much of a chance of recovery the first time around - and that was 16 years ago. Her attitude is always (ok, usually!) good, and she seems to handle the situation as best she can.
I'll keep you updated as things progress.

"Over the mountain watching the watcher", is a line from an earlier Pink Floyd song, "Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun".
Originally on their "Saucerful of Secrets" album, but can also be found on Ummagumma Live and Pompeii Live.
Good stuff to sit back, relax, and contemplate stuff to.Sal Palooza
