look up the sodium bicarbonate(baking soda)and maple syrup treatment. There have been a few people with a couple months to live and by using this they have eradicated their cancer. It does not work for all types of cancer, but it is worth a look. My dad drinks some of the mixture every day as a preventive measure. The way it works is the baking soda makes your system somewhat alkaline which cancer can not live it. Also cancer gobbles up sugars like mad, so it pulls in the mixture, feast then starts to die. Just something for you to look into. There have been a couple doctors with documented results that were pretty impressive. I believe the reason it is not main stream is because the drug companies cannot make money off of it, seeing it is something you can do at home for pennies. Best of luck to your family. I know what it's like dealing with cancer, my mother, and one of my aunts(who took me in after my mom passed) both died from cancer. Here's to kicking it's butt again.

I can appreciate the healthy skepticism of the medical/big pharma complex, but I can assure you that if such a simple treatment worked, they would find a way to make billions from it. Were it not for the efforts of a bunch of people smarter that I, my mother would be another victim.

Try anything and believe in miracles would be the best medicine at this point, but to lose faith in the doctors trying to help in favor of an alternative is a very bad idea.

As always... you both are in my prayers, and I wish for you nothing but the very best.

Your above statement is correct. I do not think anyone is encouraging loosing faith and moving away from conventional medicine but ratter offering other alternatives over the conventional treathments. Prayers is IMO the best healer however, I believe you have to help your self (proactive) in order for God to help and I believe Scotty and debbie are. Your cautious comment is however quite appropriate.

    Still praying for Debbie Scotty...

Some really amazing stories of courage and strength being shared in this post. My bestfriend was diagnosed with brain cancer just this last year, had been feeling dizzy and fatigued so he decided to try a new contact prescription. The tumor was so massive that the eye doctor could see that his optic nerves were heavily bruised and had him admitted straight to the ER. He called me as soon as he was diagnosed and given the option of brain surgery that night or the following morning. He opted for the morning so we could all drive there in time to spend some time with him before and be there after. Following the surgery we were told he would have about a year on average, at age 28, that is devastating.

Since then he has been on trial treatments and is progressing well enough where they anticipate 10-15 years. There is not a day that goes by that he is not trying to make himself stronger and we are not trying to find something to laugh about and share. The odds are no longer a topic, life and plans for laughter and friendship dominate all discussions. Seems like so many of us are touched by this illness, but even more importantly we have all been touched by wonderful, strong, and loving people in our lives. I hope we all continue to experience more of the latter with whatever may come in our lives.

Great news yesterday from Dr.Ruth O'regan, and the staff at Emory cancer clinic.

Debs petscan showed her largest tumors, one in the right upper armbone, and one in right armpit that i originally found while massaging her at night, have shrunk to half their size.

All the other multiple spots they were watching were "RESOLVED".

Best i can tell, that means that means gone.

And as far as the two remaining, as long as tumors are shrinking or at least not growing, you are doing well.

I cannot tell you how much your prayers and thoughts have meant, we are doing the same for anyone who relates their storys here.

The weeks leading up to yesterdays visit to get the results were very stressful.

Let me tell you, the ride home was filled with laughter, good thoughts and love.

Thank you alland keep letting us know about your storys.

The pic on the right is john and his wife in the 70s, trust me even the hairdressers are different around here, you do not want to break into this guys house.

I had dated a girl for a bit who was really into Christianity. I'm not into religion really but she was great and a lot of fun, and hot as heck too. I tried to find churches and such for her as she lived up the Keys which is too far for daily dating. She knew I wasn't into Church at all, but one day we were walking outside my house and she saw this little plant thing I had and she pointed it out. It had been dead, dry and brittle for almost three years. The only reason I didn't throw it away was because it was in a cool planter. It was one of those ferns in rocks you can get cheap at the store. But I had long abandoned it and left it out in the sun. The top was bleached by the sun, and many cycles of being sun baked had left it completely crumbled. The plant was as alive as a fence post. It was about two inches deep, so there were no roots left in the dirt, it was just a dry piece of plant pulp, pretty much paper but crumbly. She turned to me and asked rhetorically if the plant came back to life would I believe in Jesus. I said, I'm sorry but no, there is nothing that is going to bring that back to life, I'm sorry. Pick another thing to test me, but my answer would still be no. She said then if there was no way it would work, but if it did would I believe then? I said No. I really wanted to make her happy but I can't bs people like that even to get a nice piece. She was gorgeous and I really wanted to appease her, but the thing was dried up and dead, for a long time, and certainly very dead then. She was just not getting what I told her, there was absolutely no chance anywhere Jesus or not that thing was coming back. Really.
She then said that since I really knew that it wouldn't happen would I believe in Jesus if it did happen? By now I was getting somewhat irritated and just repeated my insistence that it was impossible, but I would not believe in either necessarily because it was unrelated and simply neither would happen.

She then blew a kiss at it, bowed down to pray, and blessed the plant, handed it back to me and said that it would come back to life. I felt bad for her, because she just saw a dead plant that very well could have come back to life. I had it a long time, and it had been dead three years. Dried up and dead. She told me she had faith, and that is why my plant would come back to life. I put the plant down where it was, and it remained just as dead as when she handed it to me.

Several weeks later there was just the smallest sliver of a sprout. I wasn't even looking, but the morning due had put a drop of water on the new shoot and the sun had hit and it sparkled. I couldn't and almost wouldn't believe it. I looked closer thinking she had replaced the plant to fool me, but she didn't. When I showed it to her, she admitted she was surprised it would really happen but she also said she remained steadfast in her faith that it would or could happen. I didn't know what to think or say.
I'm still not a person of any religion. I wound up marrying my wife who is Jewish. It's a funny thing to me, this religion stuff, but I do believe in one thing:

Faith. The power of Faith can and will heal when enough positive thought is involved. I saw something with my own eyes and brain that was impossible, yet it happened because someone really wanted it to happen. I share this story with folks that have diseases that may be fatal. Doctors have one medicine and factor they can't control, and that is Faith. I gave my plant now named Faith to a cancer patient, who has since kicked the cancer.

I am still not religious, I don't date that girl, I don't go to church and I spend my Sundays on the water fishing. My wife has heard my story and doesn't doubt for a second the power of Faith. I've seen doctors tell people things, and as it's true you should listen, but at some point you have to disregard the notion that the impossible can't happen. A prayer, a positive thought, a positive way of living, it will all come back to help you like a deposit in the Karma Bank.

I'm really glad to hear your story, I'm really glad you shared. This forum is a great place with a lot of great people, and more people than you realize prayed or gave positive thoughts your way, and it was your Faith that helped you come back with great news.

    God Bless you both.

Thank you all, ev, that story touches on so many levels.

After my dad died in 85, i began helping my mom to plant her little flower beds and veggies that her and dad used to do.

Before that, i had to psyche myself up just to mow the grass, i hated it.

Long story short, little by little, I learned about horticulture, got a degree in hort late in life, and started a successful small landscaping bus., something else i never dreamed i could do.

I landscaped the estate of dennis hayes, the inventor of the phone modem.

I landscaped my neurologist and neurosurgeons yard, became close friends and gained so much more than money from those and many other relationships.

I talked my mom into investing with me in a house and 9 acres to start a flowering shrub, tree and perennial farm.

Because we moved here i met debbie, and my life has never been the same, all because of my discovery of my love of plants, and the wonder of gods works.

Im the same as you concerning religion, and i think you can have church fishing as easy as in a building.

God bless all of you and let us know if we can pray for you and yours.
