Really!!! How much longer can this go on!!!! Why dont you guys tell him like you tell everyone else on here that he needs to put a lot of power to the RTia 9's to make them sing. Period. I really don't see how bitching back and forth about who said what is helping the guy out.

Yes as a first time poster (to this site) I have found that there is just to many "winners" for my liking and I will have to pass on this site. To bad it seemed liked a cool site.

    Getting slightly back on topic...

So I re-ran YPAO after fixing a minor wiring issue, and something interesting to note, before the amp it set the L/R levels to +1, with the center at 0, after the amp, L/R was at -4.0 and center was +3.5!

Though I suppose it shouldn't be too surprising, with the L/R Bridged they're rated at 350wpc versus 135 non-bridged.

Which brings up another question, this amp is rated at 30a peak current per channel, any guesses, or any way to find out how much that's good for driving just the two channels bridged?

It really is a pretty cool site, don't let this dissuade you from sticking around.

Guys here like to "banter" from time to time, it's no big deal. Now and then and I haven't seen if for a while, you get keyboard cowboys that really shoot their mouths off, they don't stay around very long.

This little banter was nothing, if you stick around long enough you'll see guys just agree to disagree and move on.

Protocol is definitely a good thing.

And if I can say in F-1nut's defense, there was no brand bashing at all, just pointing out what looked to be a contradictory statement.
I mostly mentioned the brand-bashing because I have seen him repeatedly do it in other threads. However, what was said here wasn't so much brand-bashing, as much as unnecessary and incorrect criticism.
Lets look a little closer at the statement in question (again, hats off to offsetx for a stellar first post )

I have RTI A9s first paired with a XPA-2 and onkyo 1008 it was Somewhat bright, but with my marantz av7005 the sound is amazing. Wow a whole new speaker. I personally love Emotiva stuff and will prolly buy more amps!!!!

Now this could go both ways depending on what was or wasn't said, at first glance, it appears that the Marantz did the best job on it's own in the sound department when compared to the Emo/Onk duo. If this is the case, than the poster does sound a bit out of context here.

What we're not seeing is if the poster connected his Emo amp to the Marantz avr to do his comparrison, if this were the case, than we're actually seeing that the Marantz is doing a better job of sound and not the Onkyo and that would leave the amp to be a neutral party in this comparison.
Geoff, the AV7005 is a preamp only, so he would have had to use his Emo to power the speakers. As you said, it is a neutral party in that case. It is also about synergy in his system, which is something both F1 and John extol on a regular basis. These are the reasons I was adamant that there was no contradiction, and why I bothered to point out the fallacy in F1 and John's posts.
So, again, we welcome offsetx to the forum and could you please join in and clarify your statement about your comparison, did you use the Emo with both the Onkyo and the Marantz, or just the Emo/Onk vs the Marantz?
    Indeed, welcome offsetx!
    Thanks in advance.
Thank you. I will let it go as of this post. I've made my points, so there is no need to repeat them.
