I want to say it's resolution issues , what kind of HDMI cable is going from the player to the receiver?

I am using a Monoprice 6 ft cable... I then exchanged it for another cable and the issue still occurs. If I plug the player in another input, the issue goes away.

You probably need a new HDMI board

I have an SC-61, a few months old. About 5-10 minutes after start up I'll get the video cutting out, and I either end up with what appears to be someone having barfed on the screen (pink, with chunks of...well, you get the idea). This will last a few seconds, then reconnect. Sometimes it will completely lose the signal for the same length of time. As things warm up (20 minutes in) it seems to go away. Don't want to blame the SC-61 yet, I need to play with the HDMI cabling and the Motorola HD box. My Oppo plays blu-ray fine through the Pioneer, though I'm running split HDMI with the video going direct to the display from the Oppo.

That is exactly what happens with the Onkyo AVRs with the famous HDMI failure issue. Pink and green blotches appear and HDMI handshaking slowly gets worse... Not a good sign...

This was primarily an issue with the -05/-06/-07 and maybe -08 series... I had the TX-NR905 and the TX-NR906... Both had HDMI failures...
