Planning out my 2 channel system: Step 1 - Help me find a pre

Ever try an RCA out multiplier? ( Y cable )
Attachment not found.
Yeah I know, I know, but since the cables I would be connecting would be something along the lines of MIT Shotgun IC's, there would be some sort of signal degridation there.
I have thought about cables and to start with more than likely I would see if Frank @ Signal Cables can hook me up with a y adaptor and then purchase some of his analog 2 cables and possibly speaker wire..... but thats all in the future.
P.S. the Nakamichi CA-5 has 2 sets of pre-outs, so it wouldnt matter . I could use good IC's for the speakers, and midline ones for the sub if I had to"....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." Soooooo I found something interesting...... NAD M51 Direct Digital DAC (have this feeling its like 1k or more though). Its a total one stop shop for me. I can go direct via HDMI from my computer into this DAC. Now it requires of course my computer be connected to it, and the use of my Monitor as the display, whereas the squeezebox is totally wireless and has its own display, however it combines the Pre and the Squeezebox into one item. It has volume control via a remote as well.
I could do this: HDMI out from computer ->NAD M51 Direct Digital DAC ->Amp
This would mean less things in the signal chain. Should I later on want to use a squeezebox to separate my 2 channel setup from the computer, I still can as it accepts coaxial, etc.
I think this is a new to market product. Anyone have any experiences with it by any chance, or have a ballpark price for it?
**edit** Fears realized, looks like its going for around 1600 :frown:"....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." William Bruce Cameron, Informal Sociology: A Casual Introduction to Sociological Thinking (1963) -
I really like my Emotiva XDA-1 dac. <duck & cover> Lovely sound stage to me, but I have no experience with pricier dacs. Optical and coax in from SB (+2 rca's). XLR and 2-RCA's out (could use 1 for sub). Remote controlled source and volume, but no processing. Gain problems in the early model were resolved. I've had no QC problems with it or the xpa-2 amp which I also am very happy with. IMO, it's a very good value at $250 and 30-day return.
I've got a little TEC phono pre you could try for maybe 20 bucks to see if you want to go further in vinyl?b]Beach Audio[/b]: Rega RP6 (mods) - AT33PTG/II - Parks Budgie SUT - PSAudio NPC * Eversolo DMP-A6 * Topping D90iii * Joule-Electra LA-100 mkIII * Pass Aleph 30 * MIT S3 * Polk SRS 2.3tl (mods) * PSAudio PPP3

Appreciate the offer but I think I am going to just keep what I have right now in the office. If I do anything it will be add a USB DAC and maybe farther down the line a set of separates and a set of Mini Maggies, but for now I am going to put my money into my HT rig.
I am planning on dropping down on a Sunfire 5 channel amp and then upgrading the xovers on my LSi speakers (~1100). Maybe if I can find a set for a good price get another pair of 15's for surrounds "....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted."
