This Thanksgiving I thank God for my family, my health, my friends, my job and so many other things. I feel very fortunate to have these things and I don't take them forgranted.

I want to wish all of you a Happy Thanksgiving!

I am most thankful for my family all being fine, I know a lot of you know what I am talking about. I am thankful that most of my gear made it with just a covering of smoke to clean off. I am also thankful that our last place caught fire so our dead beat landlord can no longer rent out that mold infested heat leaking water logged mold filled piece of crap. I am also very thankful for the group of people here that helped me get through what would have been a hard spot to recover from. The financial, mental and emotional support helped a lot more than you guys could realize. I had sent out some thank you e-mails no too long ago. If you did not get one it was because I lost the list I had in my e-mail. So to those I missed I really appreciated the help. You helped put clothes on our backs, and other necessities in our home and made the transition in to our new place A LOT smoother. Happy Thanksgiving online family.

I am Thankful for God and what he has done in my life. I am thankful for my girls, my mom, and the rest of my family. I am thankful for the friends that stood by me in tough times. I am thankful for meeting my friend's wife after he passed away(old school friend who died of the same thing that I have). I am thankful for the people I owed that forgave me when I lost touch with them. I am thankful that I am in remission, and I have a good doctor that finally prescribed the right combination of medications to allow me to function, and talk coherently. I am thankful that I have learned to enjoy listening to music, and not going batty about the gear. I am thankful for the people that have inspired me who are going through tougher times than me and still have a heart of gratitude.
    Happy Thanks Giving!
    Ben

If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks

This Thanksgiving, I am mainly thankful for my three-month-old niece! She is my sister's first kid, so it's my first time as an uncle. I am going to love the uncle role... all of the fun and none of the work!

Great thread. I am thankful for all that I am and have.

Job 1:21, " “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I will depart. The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away; may the name of the LORD be praised.”

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving everyone. Besides the hectic pace of the week please reflect on what you are thankful for in this life, even if you are not a spiritual person.

I am truly thankful that my son-in-law, the father of my grandchildren safely returned to his family from his deployment deep in the sandbox.

I am thankful that there are people like my son-in-law in my country.

I am thankful that more of these people will be home this Thanksgiving than have been for years... and many, many more will be home next Thanksgiving than will be for this...

    Happy Thanksgiving, everyone...

I am thankful for....although this the was a rough year economically that I was healthy enough to work hard and blessed with a turn around. Also, this Thanksgiving started out to be a small gathering and each day this week several others have called to join our gathering and making this a memorable occasion.

    Cheers

I read through all the ads this morning. There's nothing I need to buy. The boys are both getting cash this year.
One is about to close on a new house. The other is weeks away from finishing college.
I have nowhere I need to go on black Friday. Does this make me un-American?

Oh, I forgot 3 important things: my dog, my 2-channel system, and my fridge full of beer!

What's in that plastic container, you ask? That, my friend, would be 1 US gallon of the Shmaltz Brewing Company's Coney Island Human Blockhead. It's an Imperial American Bock, aged for five months in Buffalo Trace bourbon barrels. If you like bourbon, you must try this beer! The Blockhead is on a very limited release. Only 500 cases world-wide. Nowhere near me has any bottles, but my local watering hole got (2) sixils of draft. The owner let me come in and fill up. Awesome.

family for sure for me/us. Our son is home for a few days from grad school in Charlottesville. We had dinner today with our daughter and son-in-law in their new house in Keene, NH - with all of his nuclear family (parents and one sister home from college, the other sister home from grad school). Finestkind.

Man. Our beer tasting was extremely successful. We had 19 different types of beer. The star of the show was the Human Blockhead, for sure. Not just because I had a gallon of it, but because of the amazing flavor. Actually, I still have about 3/4 gallon left... I may have bought too much...

oh and the Troegenator was is my personal top 3, for sure.

I'm thankful for the fact that I didn't have to spend the day with that bunch of inbred morons called my family and there uncontrollable brood of hellspawn running lose. Instead got to sleep in then spent the rest of day watching all 9 seasons of Red Dwarf and the only thing I had to do is figure what to have for dinner a big phat bacon cheese burger with all the trimmings or a couple chile dogs with cheese and onions, I had both cheese burger for lunch and chile dogs for dinner.

There are times when it's really great to be single.
