Coming to a website near you -

Old school, dual boards -

Replacing the SDA blade blade jack with a binding post as it is supposed to be a P/B...

Building up a nice dual 14 awg run cable for the SDA cable - binding post...

Clarity Cap ESA on the tweeter network and PX on the midbass and SDA board...

Mundorf 10 watt resistors - also am doing my "Power Stack'' on the main board so the tweeter caps will have their own board and the resistors will have their own - allows for easy maintenance and a cleaner install!

Should be nice!

I really like modifying SDA crossovers so far!

    Two boards DONE

Note to other owners, check your inductor leads as they become fairly brittle with age... :)

That is the cable that goes from your new SDA connection! :-D

I figured I would use the same cable I am using for your SDA cable :)

I cant wait till you get your ears on them either...

I really like my power stack design, it allows so much more room - its like having Gimpod boards but... not lol!

If you ever have any resistor problems you can take them straight out no problem (except for maybe some glue!) :-D

Received the finished product from Trey today. Packed well and they look great. Pics to come. Now to figure out where all these wires go. Ahhhhhh..

I am pretty sure I have the wires figured out for top crossovers to the mids. But the bottom crossovers to the tweets are slightly confusing.

The left crossover has Blue, Black, White and Green wires. The Right crossover has Blue, Black and White x2 wires. Hmmmmm????????????

I spoke to Trey ( he even provides phone support ) and I think I have it figured out. It seems I may have had the tweets wired wrong previously.

Unfortunately the wife is asleep and I can't really give these a good listen. However, I can tell right off the bat that they are more efficient now.

Might have to go into work late tomorrow!

I think I have the wiring figured out. Cause it sounds damn good!!

I gave it a good listen this morning.

    Started out with
The Beatles- Abbey Road = Something in the way she moves
Iron and Wine - Kiss Each Other Clean = Great sound, really great album
Grateful Dead BCT 11-3-84 = Great show!!
Ella Fitzgerald and Joe Pass= Incredible vocals
Neil Young - After the Gold Rush= Beautiful Song!!

First thing I noticed was improved vocals with more clarity and detail. With only 2hrs of burn on the Caps I am pretty happy. I am really looking forward to more listening and any improvement as time goes on will be a bonus!!

Trey does excellent work and does it quick! Do not hesitate to send him your crossovers.

Don't know what burn in is on the components Trey used, but when they've settled you're gonna be amazed.

I still get surprised by how much information I wasn't hearing before my upgrades every time I sit down for a listen.

    Thanks dude!

I enjoy modding crossovers and making speakers sound better in general!

Without yalls support I would not be doing it! Your word of mouth has brought a lot of folks asking for my designs - particularly the RTiA series!

    Much fun!

    Thanks!

Trey, let me make sure I am not misunderstanding you here.

Are you saying you are working with Gimpod so someone can purchase both the boards and have you build them at the same time? That would be a phemomenal idea (if thats not what your talking about there). Also given DK found someplace that can make new inductors, it would literally be a one stop shop (minus larry's rings) to purchase a totally built crossover (or a parts kit for one).

That my friend would be pretty friggin sweet!

I am indeed working with GIMPOD for a one stop shop! :)

    I think its fantastic!

I am actually building a SDA 2BTL from scratch as soon as the inductors arrive! :)

Any thought on offering them in external enclosures rather than mounting inside?

sure. the problem with external mounting is the added costa of rewiring the speakers... tri wire plus terminal cups and just the overall expense.
