OK so I want to see if there is any interest for this system here in the forum.
I'm thinking of consolidating my stereo rig into my HT as I'm a little cramped for space.
Included would be the complete RT5000p system in Rosewood:
-Fronts: RT3000p powered fronts (each has a powered seperate subwoofer containing 2 custom 8" drivers)
-Center: CS1000p - the best center Polk ever made contains 2 powered sub drivers
-Surrounds: FX1000 - dipole/bipole switch - fantastic dispersion
-All power cords (3)
-An extra WORKING subwoofer amp for the RT3000p's (as these were custom to the unit these can prove invaluable as theyre nearly impossible to come accross) second hand are usually ~$300
I've put a lot of work into these and they are in perfect working order. Additionally the cabinets are all 9/10 condition. The real rosewood veneer is fantastic and intact. Corners are sharp. no snags, pulls, or rips in any of the 9 grills. Really, the speakers are in fantastic condition. You'd be hard pressed to find a nicer set, and I know you won't find one with a backup amp.
I'd be looking for about $1400
I'm not desperate and I'm not in any rush.

Nice, I've always wanted to get my ears on that setup.
-
Great price for that system and you would have one fantastic HT only short of an SRT. As I'm sure you know, pictures always help your sale.
-
Yeah, Ive got them elsewhere on the site, but you're right. I need to get some new pics up.
I won't be sad if there's no interest, but I'd be really surprised if no one wanted them at the price I'm asking. But no one put offers on other gear that I thought would fly at the price the were at (like the Audio Alchemy DLC preamp, *ahem* haha) but that's how things go. ebb and flow.
I see you're in Seattle, I just had my first visit to your fair city 2 weeks ago and had a great time. Crummy weather though haha, I say that tongue in cheek being a Chicagoan where we get 20 nice days/year )design is where science and art break even. -
I wonder how much to ship the system to Olympia, WA 98501?My 2012 HT Room - http://www.avsforum.com/t/1416077/bsoko2-new-ht-june-2012

probably would be about $350 I have some ideas to save costs. If you have a commercial address you can use, that would save money.
It would likely be 5 boxesdesign is where science and art break even. -
Although I drive to Colorado several times over the winter and would consider meeting you there or in wyoming (for maybe $100). just an optiondesign is where science and art break even.

These should go pretty quickly. Your price is fair and they are increasingly hard to find.
Took me years to pull mine together. I use a pair of RT3000p satellites for rear surounds instead of Fx's. I get better point source imaging and like it better.

ok, so I have had people asking me to separate the pieces. I will only do so if I have a buyer for each. So if you're interested in the rt3000p's, the CS1000p, or the fx1000's let me know.
Again, the rt3000p's will come with an additional Polk OEM 300w sub amplifier "just in case"
shipping for these will be more reasonable than the entire system. Should be less than half.
I will post pictures this weekend.design is where science and art break even. -
If I lived closer...I'd buy the whole system for sure.
What a great price as it is now! Sorry we don't live closer to each other. The sale would've been done and over a week ago.
I'm waiting for some guy to get done with repairing 2 amps and then I'll see how much if any $$ I have to spare on big ticket items again.
I might buy one of your split systems items anyway if I think about it to long.;-)Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them. -
I already have the FX1000p's and CS1000p. I use a set of RT2000P's for my mains so I have close to what the RT5000 system will do. Thinking about those RT3000p's though, how much for them?

I was thinking about RT3000P's for rears and another CS1000p for a rear center.
I have the room size to accomodate it too. Damn, shipping might be a deal make or break issue. I could do a road trip but the gas might equal shipping....:-(Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them. -

That would be one heck of a system. -
I would love to sell mine and get the RT 3000 stereo pair from this set.SRT For Life; SDA Forever!

I've read where the future playback systems SHOULD have 4 subs in the room along with 11 other speakers. Really, I read that they are planning this.
If I also had a CS1000p above and below the screen, the front wall would be covered except for the hiegth front ambiance speakers. Those could be covered by FX1000's in top front and on the side walls in the middle of the room...WOW...$$$$$Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them. -

Sorry to (sort of) hijack, but I have a sub module that I bought for the spare amp and drivers. It's rosewood and the finish is OK as I recall. Might help you refurb your set. Let me know.My 7.4.4 DIY 4k Home Theater:

Was wondering if you still had the CS1000P and if so what kind of condition is it in and how much do you want for it shipped to Manahawkin, NJ 08050? Please let me know ASAP thanks, Victor

Sorry, guys
I've been out on a long birthday weekend.
I've had offers on the CS1000p and the RT3000p's. Nothing on th FX1000's
Like I said, ideally I want to sell it all or nothing.
To answer general questions, the individual prices would be as follows:
RT3000p with extra amp - $800 - 3 boxes about 80lbs each
CS1000p - $550 - 1 box - 1 box ~65lbs
FX1000 - $350 - 1 box ~60lbs (maybe more)
These are what I want ideally, and prices I've seen on lower quality pieces go for. As you can see, ther's a big discount for buyinh the full system. There is a little bit of wiggle room, but please refrain from lowball offers. I included info for weights and boxes so you can calculate shipping from 60491. I think it's going to be expensive any way you cut it. But I am willig to drive quite a distance and split the travel time for the cost of gas and a meal
Thank you all for your interest.design is where science and art break even. -
and as a PS, The RT3000p's, and possibly the others, will have some new caps. I was thinking of doing it and I've had all the parts. I may as well try it out. I don't think it will effect the price in any way.

Yeah, it's weird.
I hooked this system back up after a few trips to every audio shop within a 45 min drive and havent found anything that approaches the quality of this set for less than $6k. Martin Logans being the first to give them a run but only from the Theos ($4k/pr) and up. Def Tech's Mythos super towers were pretty nice. perhaps a slightly clearer top end like the ML's but I found the midbass-bass region to be inferior to the rt3000p's. also, I find that Polk has a very "agreeable" sound signature on the warm side of neutral. I've got a REL sub coming and I think I'm going to see how things sound.
I watched Buried, that new movie about that guy who wakes up in a coffin, and I was instantly reminded how good the system is even running off my Pio Elite VSX-84txsi. The sound was fantastic. enveloping and even coming from directly above me. Spooky good. After hearing the surrounds of so many other makes, I really appreciate the FX1000's. I'm convinced they are great speakers in their own right. So many others sounded like thinner versions of their corresponding fronts.
I really believe these speakers represented quite a deal when they were introduced at under $8k. They are some serious performers.design is where science and art break even. -
PM sent to buy full system.

Highly interested in part of your setup:
CS1000p - $550
FX1000 - $350
I've had the RT3000p's for years with the intention of completing the setup - if still available, I would take the center and surround speakers off your hands.HT: Samsung UN55ES7100 | Denon AVR-3312CI | Polk Audio RTiA9 | CSiA6 | F/XiA6
