This is why i sleep with a flash light, i collect them so there is allways a spotlight, flashlight, or pen light laying around, other wise they would find my body under a pair or speakers or a plasma or both, lol

I dont know if this is spam or just a spam brain poster

It doesn't look like spam to me. In fact, I think he makes a good point that you should seriously consider, PFB. If you had a flashlight with you, you probably could have avoided this incident.

Clearly you didn't read his post. His advice boiled down to having a flashlight by you when you sleep so that you don't make a stupid mistake and damage equipment or have it fall on you. Sounds like advice that would have helped you, and could help you in the future. However, as Keiko said, I doubt that you will take that advice.

Ok now that I think on it its a great idea ... I will sleep with a flashlight so I wont knock equipment over in another room when I wake up

Seriously??? The advantage of a portable lighting device, such as a flashlight, is that you can carry it with you. Therefore, you can take it with you while traveling to the other room and it will magically light the way for the duration of the trip! This would include lighting the entrance way so that you could see a closet door that was off its hinges so that you don't run into it.

In the past, I have seen others berate you and attack you for what seemed like little things. I really didn't understand why at the time. However, after this small interaction with you, I can kind of understand why. A guy comes in with a bit of advice aimed to help you out. You respond with a false accusation of spam as well as questioning his intellect. You then go on to respond with sarcasm and belittlement toward others who try to help you understand the advice given.

Get a clapper, and a clapper lamp for each socket. Two bumps on the noggin will light your way

Yeah, flashlight advice is clearly spam. Don't use this flashy tech and stick with candles instead. These little flames all over your house should do the trick of serving as night lights. What could go wrong?

don't you know that's what he does. Ask Gordon who has given him advice regarding his Martin Logan's and then he went back and jumped down his throat for no reason. Like how he said you must be smoking something? He also compared the situation to his PS3 to rape and then also called me mentally retarded. Real class act.

The truth is, I've never paid much attention to his antics until now since I've been involved in this conversation; however, I am becoming aware. Ya know, I've said and done stupid things before; the difference is that I can admit when I've screwed up, and I try not to do it repeatedly. In other words, I learn from my mistakes.
    when... ?

The "beef" has nothing to do with your initial reply to the supposed spammer, it has to do with your replies afterward. I first tried to correct you and clarify what he was saying in a very polite manner. All I got in return was an insult ("What you been smoking there buddy"). I tried to clarify once again, this time in a more blunt and straightforward manner, but still polite. What I received was a sarcasm-laden comment that showed you just don't care to understand. You responded to polite posts intended to help you in a rude and flippant manner. I've seen you do this to others on many occasions, but never really paid much attention to it. However, after being on the receiving end of your attitude, I can understand why others treat you the way they do. Remember the golden rule: treat others as you would have them do unto you. This is something you clearly do not abide by, unless you actually like being treated poorly.

This thread has been good for a few laughs this morning. One point PFB, you do not need to sleep with a flashlight. Keep it on a nearby table so you can use it after you get out of bed. Also, just to be clear, you only need it when it is dark.

Look, I'm not your judge, father or all mighty of that's what your into. I don't know either of you, but the posts are useless and spam. I have no issues with anything and usually keep quiet in matters I don't care for but when I look into this thread because of an update and see the same picture plastered over and over and over, it's spam. Why don't you both whip 'em out and measure? Will that end the quarrel you two have?

No spamming there, just an SD that was bored and felt it would be fun to bring back a can of worm. One thread gets closed by the mods and not enough, the kids just move elsewhere till it gets closed again. You could be surprised who's hiding behind that newbie's screen name! ;)
