Not to make light of this, but were you drinking when you went crashing into the room?

On another note? What exactly are you trying to epoxy...? The broken TV?

I wish I just wanted the attention and I never broke anything and it was all sweet but thats not the case .This new pj screen frame is a no go .There's 4 plastic corner parts that fit inside the frame so I try'd to push them in and it was very hard .I went and got a rubber hammer and try'd to knock it in and I went and split one of the pieces so its f'd

I did hang the screen material on the wall tonight and did a split screen with the sony dynaclear material .There is no competition as the sony screen wins for smoothness , black level and overall color contrast .I forgot how crappy the bedroom projector was until I shined it on the favi screen

I just rushed to menards before it closed to buy some plastic glues .I bought this JB weld and gorilla glue witch are both epoxy based and I hope they work with pastic on plastic or I'm f'd lol again

Years ago I earned the nickname, "Mr. JB Weld" at work due to the absolute necessity at the time to get various equipement running and ZERO possiblity of obtaining proper parts/supplies (Autozone to the rescue). I mention that merely to show my credentials when it comes to JB Weld.
Having said that, I might offer the following opinions:
    1. Quick Set JB Weld ain't worth a ****.
    2. Regular JB Weld is almost the best thing since individually-wrapped cheese slices, good for almost anything.

    ALMOST anything.
    NOT for projector screens.

As to gorilla glue: from reading posts on other threads, it's my understanding that F1 absolutely loves the stuff. Rumors are that he even puts it on his Cornflakes in the morning and the possibility exists that he may even use it as a rejuvenating hair creme ! Furthermore .....

    .... can't do it. ...... must stop ........... DON'T USE GORILLA GLUE !!

    Here's a few pics I took tonight
    Well every upload failed
All my pictures were between 3 and 3.7 mb ?

I don't know what the max size is, believe closer to 1mb. I would say these are too large.

When I posted pictures before, I had to put in the html address of where the picture is located online, and the file has to end in .jpg.

for some reason I could not upload just off my computer. Maybe now you can, but before it wouldn't let me. So I either use flickr, or facebook, or one of those to upload my photo. Then I right click the picture and select "copy image url".

then on the forum I press picture, then paste the image url that you copied. It should end with a .jpg

If you aren't doing personal pictures, you can usually right click "copy url", but sometimes I have to use firefox, and then right click the webpage, select media, then scroll down the files until you see the image, and the you can right click, copy or save.

that works too. unfortunately, some people steal copyrighted photos without permission that way, so please be respectful.

    then my photo was displayed.

Oh, I just looked and it has changed, but you can still select a picture html rather than one off your computer.

I didn't mean to trash your thread with my pictures, I just wanted to see if it worked. Somehow I lost track of time and now can't edit to remove them. When it rains, it dumps it everywhere you don't want it to be.

Anyway, I hope you figure out how to load the photos, maybe a moderator can help.

Thanks for your info on the pictures I will try it tomorrow

Tonight I built the second screen and it was perfect. It went down in price to $86 and when its hung it looks like it cost way more than it did .The 3 1/2 inch aluminum frame with the velvet is stunning to see on the wall .I am really pleased with the job I did

ha ha, yes, well I have other issues besides just acoustics with that room. I have reflections onto the screen. I do have a l shaped couch sectional and another chair all covered it dyed painters canvas drop cloth which helps. There are also three large beams running across the top of the roof which helps break up the empty chamber effect. I also have hurricane latches on the french doors to secure them very tightly. The room is large, but the wood beams, couch, kitchen island all help to break it up. But yes I do have some echo chamber nightmares which go quite well with horror movies late at night. It also carries my wife's loud voice over my entire sound system at inopportune moments. I have been moving things out of the way that would add to either the echo, or to vibrations. It looks a bit different now but the room is essentially the same. I'm open to ideas that would not go against the living room waf.

That must have been one fun house to be in the night you damaged your setup. I hope you at least had a cold beverage handy while you steamed. At least you got it sorted out.

Have you had a chance to sample the new screen yet? Are you happy with it? Sure doesn't look too bad, now are your comments on the VQ when compared to the price tag?

The new screen looks great because its a fixed frame tension screen so its got a nice flat surface like my main fixed frame that out in the main theater/living room .The sony has no way of flattening out so you get some roll off at the edges and it can be helped with these flimsy pieces of plastic they give you but they done more harm then good . But the favi screen is luxurious looking and the screen balance on color is reasonable plus its only $89 shipped to the door

The picture it produces is nice and filmlike so its good for movies in the dark but its not so good for videogames with some ambient light as you can see from the previous post when I had the lights on full and the sony still produced and excelent image . I am sad that the sony's beat because I refuse to spend $400 for a replacement
