I dont understand why they dont put a spell checker on IE9 either. Every single browser but IE has one. I use Speckie and it works just fine but will slow down the typing if your posting a big long post for some reason. Still youd think Microsoft would just put one in or at least cough up some halfway decent reason for why they dont use one.

or a reason why they refuse to put a decent html rendering engine in outlook or word....

anyway, changed the post type color to black, hopefully this fixes some of those hard to read complaints.

ieSpell works with the spell check button works on every other VB forum I belong to. With IE6, 7, 8, or 9. Why blame the browser for buggy VB software?

Why do the thread title headings keep reversing back to a small size in the lists? Is that what VB reverts to? Maybe it is just me...but whether or not I read a thread has more to do with what it is about than who and when.

I'm not quite sure how this translates into English, but a spell check button on VB is unnecessary on modern browsers because they all have spell check built in. That's the point.

Somehow I typed the word "works" twice, sorry you can't translate it. My point was ,why have a spell check button in VB if it doesn't work? Certainly not IE's fault, but I know it's cool to dislike anything Microsoft.

Ahhhhh! ok, well that is because they're set that way :afro I can play around with the thread lists if you have a specific suggestion.

Could someone please fix the word wrap feature? Right now it's broken.

    Otherwise, it's a terrific update.

IE 9 is garbage. I stopped using it after it downloaded because ads keep popping up all over the screen and there is no way to get rid of them!

It seems to be ok now. But for the last few days it seems like the thread title drop down to a very small font size and the rest of the info (started by, date and time) stays large.

    TECHNOKID,

bobman's right on this one. Chrome is a better browser than IE, hands down, and it's especially better than an old version of IE.

Your personal computer and your work computer will be safer if you use Chrome. It's not "garbage", as you put it. IE is garbage.

It feels to me like you don't really know what you're talking about, and you're just trying to find ways to justify your stubbornness to change.
More related to lack of knowledge than stubbornness.

First, at work I will not use software that is not approved (priority is for work, not for CP functionality).

My personal Laptop is a different story as I do as I please. When Google chrome was first I downloaded it but did not have much success with it. I downloaded the latest version lately (after you guys comments) but except for finding it a little faster and some functions that I find appealing I did not have any other improvements with my computer. Maybe some I do not understand but I don't get how this provides me for instant spell-check or text correction. At work I use my outlook spell-check but at home I have to use Google or Google chrome to search for a spell-check engine. Just tried to install ispell-checking tool again on work computer but un-successful again. Had to use outlook for checking again...

I have to admit, Im liking this more and more. I did like the red/black color scheme right off the bat but didnt like the layout cause it just seemed too "busy" and for guys riddled with ADD like me, the fewer distractions, the better. You guys seem to be cleaning things up nicely and I am liking it.

The only things I can still find to **** about is all the white. Any way that could be a little grayer? For those gamer nerd like me with a massive LCD screen sitting 2' in front of me, its hard on the eyes.

Also, on the "Quick Navigation" just above the "Quick Reply", can the "Top" be substituted to just take you back out to the forum index? This was a handy feature on the old one cause after you post or read to the bottom of the page, chances are you want to go back to the index as opposed to the top of the page and having a button to take you back to the index instead of having to scroll back to the top is handy for lazy people like me.

And one tiny thing, how about making the KARMA or NEWS or whatever that goes next to the thread title, a different color or something. Right now, its in bold but that just makes it the same as the rest of the title if its a new post. Not a big deal or anything, but I think it would look a little better.

I do not understand how an industry(work computer) will be safer if it uses Chrome. Could you explain? I do not mind technical details, so please do so...

It's only "safer" if your work computer is out of date. Older versions of IE had serious security holes that would leave you open to lots of nasty things (thanks ActiveX!).

If your work is dilligent about keeping you on the newest versions of IE, from a safety standpoint you're fine.

Shrank the thread icons to smaller ones, tried to make the unread/read more obvious in a smaller space. If I missed any of them please let me know.

Thanks for clarifying Bobman, your original post has got me worried a little (as our computer updates are out of our hands since most is manned by our head office). I know the National Manager drops by at least once a year to update allof our computers.

Nick, things improve daily, my aging eyes don't have so much difficulty to clearly see the thread titles. Keep up the good work!:cool: Those ugly envelopes icons are no longer that obvious either!

Where do you get that I ever said that? I've voice reluctance to try something else (and mainly because of lack of knowledge) but that is just about it. Right after the suggestions, I've tried google chrome again without real success (and more likey because of lack of knowledge).

Just point out to me what is the valid purpose of the afro icon? Maybe I am missing something (please educate me)...

It would be nice if the thread "types" ("news", "for sale", etc) were separated stylistically from the thread title a little. They used to be in a colored box.

If you guys have any color suggestions for the thread prefixes let me know. I've set up prelim colors, if no one rages then we should be good to go.
