I gotta admit, I like fast food. I know it's all crap, but I don't care. I don't eat it often, but sometimes I get that craving that only a **** **** FF meal can fix.

Favorite? hmm, 5 guys is damn good. The Hardees thick burger ain't bad either. But sometimes you just want a Big Mac..

Everything in moderation. The moderation part is what so many people seem to miss, unfortunately.

And Five Guys is fine, but they are really leagues behind In'N'Out (IMO, of course, I"ve heard people say the opposite and I think it's insane).
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

The Habit is the best burger you can get in SoCal. My wife hates burgers, but cannot get enough of this place. She liked IN-n-Out a lot when she felt like a burger(rarely) but now we are going to the Habit twice a week! Their quality is always 100% top notch, the service is even better.

We need "In'N'Out" on this side of the river. To me, they are unlike 5 Guys (which is good to great), and I'd rather have the choice between the two, as there are plenty of 5 Guys around here. "In'N'Out" is a sublime thing.

5 Guys for sure and there are no InN'Outs's here, but I'd love to see a few open up. I am a burger and fry guy. We have a couple hole in the wall, way out in the country places that serve the best burger I have ever had.

I wish you guys would cool it a little. We don't have any of that 'up' here. And I've 'never' had either of those burgers.

Bobman, you're not that far from me? Where did you have those...not in the Vermont, N.H., Maine area?

Nother vote for 5 guys. Excellent burgers and incredible fries. They bring in the best of the best and let you know where they got the potato's that day. Pretty cool and the service is always pretty good and fast.

In and out is awesome, much better than 5 guys to me. Mooyahs (a Dallas joint that's now here is waco) might just top them both. Both burgers and fries are incredible.

Five Guys only recently came up this way. There's one right down the street from me and several in NH at this point.

In'N'Out is strictly a west coast thing (and I think there are a few in Texas now as well). They refuse to franchise, so they will likely never be nationwide. You have to do something I like to call "travel."

You have fast food places and then you have fast, fast food places. The Chi fil A s in my area are usually packed, I'm not kidding, the drive thru usually has a line with up to 30 cars in the morning and at lunch. Whataburger is good ,but since it's made fresh, you usually have to wait awhile. If you're just wanting something really fast, I can get in and out of Taco Bell or Sonic and on my way.

Culver's is awesome for frozen custard, but I don't care for their burgers. 5 Guys was best in West Lafayette. If you ever end up in Indianapolis, 96th Street Steakburgers is as good as The Habit is here in L.A.... I am certain that Endershadow will agree with me on that one.

The Mexican food trucks are certianly tasty, but someone a couple of days ago pointed this out to me......They park all day long in one place, so where do they go the bathroom?

I agree with so much of what's been written . . . generally bad for you . . . I only eat it every once in a while . . . 5 Guys is very good.

There is something about McDonald's however that keeps calling me back for a quarter-pounder with cheese, fries and a coke.

Chicken Mcnuggets and hot mustard sauce once in a while.every three or four weeks.
Big mac even rarer and then...
1/4 lb.er or angus mushroom now every 6 months or more.

But I will eat med. or lg. fries with each one every time.:biggrin:

Our Taco Bell is tring to look high end and clean and great service too. The taco's are ok but I did like it more when they had giant taco supremes. Now those big boys were great!! They don't sell the giant ones anymore here.

My favorite fast food place is definitely Chick-Fil-A. However, there are some honorable mentions: Whataburger, McDonald's (best fast food fries), Chipotle and Popeye's Chicken (not always so fast though).

As for In-n-Out, I tried them once and wasn't particularly impressed. It was okay, but nothing special. I haven't tried Five Guys yet, though we do have one around. I suppose I need to put that next on my list to try.

Agree with you 100% on this Bob. Five Guys is good, but In-N-Out is without a doubt better. The flavor of the burgers and fries are relatively different, but you can tell that the people who started Five Guys modeled the chain after In-N-Out Burger. I would have to say they are my favorite fast food chain.

    Greg

P.S. I do not eat at Burger King, McDonalds, Jack in the Box or any other fast food chain burger place anymore; the last time I did was literally about 15 years ago. That is not an exaggeration either.
