Mole, no need to drive them to NY. Drop them off by Chicago and I'll make sure Mike gets them......eventually....

WHo is willing to get them out of California? Anyone border that state and also interested? Let me know, or rather Mole' know ASAP.

If they don't get a manual handoff out of California, I'm just sending them back to the warehouse and they won't make it out to the East Coast. If you Polkies are serious about these demo's, you gotta start stepping up to the plate. KAB and I pulled a lot of strings to get these speakers for Club Polk and its members folks....let's get this moving please.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

FYI all Midwest folks, the LSiM 703's that were at dcmartinpc's and then at my place in Indy are currently at leroyjr1's house. So all you WI, Chicago, IL folks you still have a chance to hear em provided you can work something out with him.

SCompRacer, cstmar01, newrival I am looking your way.

PS, if they are supposed to make their way back out east I know SolidSqual was very interested in getting his ears on them........

The East Coast 703's will be moving on to mantis this evening... I had a great demo, and as soon as I have time will write up my thoughts.

Dan/Mantis, I am hoping to read your extensive review/feedback on the 703, relative to Dynaudio, Sonus Faber, Paradigm, etc...Please..

    Thanks in advance Dan.
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

I hope I get the opportunity to sample these while they're in the area. Been wanting to do this for a very long time!

Keep tabs on who has them when they close to you Donald....as I'm sure they would be glad to offer you a demo.

I believe Mantis is less than half an hour from me across the state line. Hopefully the timing will be such that I'll be able to get over there before the speakers have to move on to their next destination....unless that happens to be my audio room!

Same here - very much looking forward to the demo!

BTW, Donald, I caught the Royal Scam show at the Beacon - the show was most excellent.

I'm gonna do some in home demoing this weekend then I plan on a night at the Lab. I'm thinking we can get together there for some good tunes and demoing. We have some good gear on the floor I would like to hear them with.

For you anything Bro. I plan on a very good deep listening and demo. I have plenty of gear and other speakers that I plan on comparing them 2. I want to really know what they work with and not. Much to come. I started a separate thread as I plan on Pic's , multiple thoughts.

Why isn't anyone posting the listening impressions of these speakers on the product page?

Were you lucky enough to catch the one with Larry Carlton as guest guitarist? I saw the "Royal Scam" show there last year (or maybe it was a couple of years ago) but missed Carlton, not that Herrington is a slouch...in fact he's anything but! I had great seats at the Beacon this year for "The Dawn of The Dan" show, also excellent.

I'm getting there.... hopefully later today I'll have something drafted up. Maybe by later this week I'll have it finished :p

Dan/Mantis (which is what your entry says in my phone, btw) - It was great to finally meet you, and I'm glad you enjoyed the Allentown BrewWorks! I'm sure you'll enjoy the 703's... I kind of wish I could make it down to hear them on your gear to see what a difference it would make over my GFA-545 and Hafler pre...

I'm interested in the 703s. I live very close to Dan (Levittown PA), probably only a few miles away.

I would love to demo them. Please give me the details,

    Thanks

After tonight Pearsall001 (Phil) will be demoing the LSIM703's next. I will post pic's and a full review of tonights event. This should make for a interesting night. I will also have one of my salesman there who is a Audiophile. His opinion carries a lot of weight. He's been in this game for over 30 years.

    See you guys tonight.

    Hi all,

I have only posted a few times on these forums (I’m a newbie to the audiophile world…slowly getting his feet wet). I just ordered a pair of Fritz Carbon 7’s, which will be coming in a few weeks, and saw the post in the general forum about the LSIM demo a few hours later.

If anyone in the NYC area picks up the 703’s at any time in the next month or so and would want to do a comparison listening just for S&G, it would be interesting to hear them side by side.

I don’t have a car but would be willing to rent one and meet up if work/life/timing permits. May or may not work out, just an idea. The LSI’s are on my short list for a 5.1 system in the future if I move out my city shoebox, so I thought I’d just throw it out there since the 703s are here in the NE.

    Have a great Thanksgiving everyone.

P.S. Mantis: in part to your great feedback, I bought T785 about a year ago. Thanks!

Uh, I just realized my post / suggestion is inappropriate and disrespectful. It was meant in the spirit of curiosity and enjoyment of the hobby itself. But it’s a Polk demo, period.

Mods, please delete my posts. My apologies.

Polkatese, you able to pick up the LSiM707? It would be great if its a workable road trip for you as I'm seriously not having these shipped at all. They will have to go face to face across the country or they go back to the loading dock @ Polk.

Anyone else available in CA or surrounding states that would like to demo these loudspeakers???

Mark, I won't be able to check out 707, don't have the means to bring them in nor the time to audition it with my schedule right now. Those are one massive pair that if I ever get them into my house, it won't leave.

LOL, bad timing is still timing. Otherwise it might be darn near impossible to find some to demo. Lord knows there is only ONE dealer in the state carrying the old LSi's and they dont look to be carrying the new stuff in the future.....

Make it happen guys. If they go back to the warehouse, they will stay there.

Maybe move these north. I see some Washington state users kicking around. I have no idea when I'll be able to hear these so keep it going!
