You're just jealous 'cause the voices don't talk to you! -
I don't get any friend requests. :frown:
As far as this place goes my oppinion is that you all have put up with me which is very kind of you and the few "I hope".... that hate me well it's ok I dont mind and may even deserve it.
REGARDS SNOWWell, I just pulled off the impossible by doing a double-blind comparison all by myself, purely by virtue of the fact that I completely and stupidly forgot what I did last. I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all -

What's wrong with the forum ? With stuff like that ^^^^^^^ ..... nuthin' .
But, just on the slight chance I may have been somehow slightly inconvenienced, I expect to be fully compensated !!!Sal Palooza -
The iTrader malfunction does not bother me (nor the showcase). They are minor inconveniences. You can find out plenty about people by researching their history of threads on here and their for sale listings. The only thing that bothers me is when members can't be bothered to leave feedback on the FS listing of the item they bought, especially after you ask them...... ><////(*>

When someone is on your friend's list, it's a little quicker to send them a PM, especially if you're unsure of the correct spelling of their user name."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche

Like Trey's? Holy crap, man. Try spelling that moniker!~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~

Guess, I should throw in my .02, even if my position is the same as some other folks.
The iTrader rating is a nice feature as is the Showcase. Neither are essential requirements for this forum and I look at these items as bonuses. I'm thankful to Polk Audio for providing this venue.
A place where, I get to talk about one of my addictions and find out the opinions of others. A place where introductions were made and I got to meet some local folks and hear their equipment. A place, that allowed me to participate in some demos and hear equipment that I might not have purchased but always wondered about. A place that I get to drop into, anytime of day and see what is going on and relax.
The original poster, said he is not complaining and just wants to make it better. All of the folks that have been married or are married have heard that kind of spin on a statement. We can all read the underlying message. It is certainly a different statement, than Can I help with anything? So forgive the folks that look at the topic of the thread and decide that you are bitching at the Mods and Webmasters of the forum.
As for me, I'm just glad to be here and they let me post this here. If it gets fixed, it gets fixed. It is not for me, as a participant of something that is offered up for free to decide on a time schedule for things to happen. It will happen or it won't.
Revel in the what they provide (for free). Quit focusing on what you don't have. Appreciate this very unique place, in the vast world of Forums.

Well, I tried to start a conversation, not this. Sorry for offering up an idea, but I've got my answers. I didn't think this was THAT controversial of an issue, 'my bad'.
Have a happy Fourth everyone.Cry me a frickin' river already!
The OP had a misplaced suggestion? Perhaps. But he's new. And of course received the usual warm welcome from the forum azz hats. Sorry to make what he thought was a useful suggestion.
I really try to like this forum because I have a bunch of Polk equipment. Every time I come here it's the same old crap and clique-ish behavior.
Too bad Al and the mods never had the nads to clean it up. Jstas would be the first to go. Does he even have any Polk equipment?

There's nothing wrong here in regards to individuals, beings we ditched a couple recently. Aside from that, it's now the same old forum to me again. Plus the fact a couple, or one in particular, don't post here anymore....it's MUCH better. Every forum has personalities and some you'll love, some you'll hate and it comes with the territory.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

I think this place will always be clique'ish simply because we're a little more close knit than others. I post on a lot of other forums and none of them are like this and Polkfest is a big part of it. Most of us oldtimers have met each other and hung out with each other at least once so we're more than a screen name to each other. Thats frustrating to newcomers but its what makes this place what it is for better or worse and theres nothing you can really do about it. Most forums online are just a bunch of anonymous screen names on a message board and its kinda cool that most of us refer to each other by our real names.
So if youre a newbie and dont like the cliques, come to the next Polkfest and hang out, then youll be in the clique.polkaudio sound quality competitor since 2005
