So Mr. Jerky, are you saying that there is something wrong with sitcoms? I'm asking because that wasn't on your list. I actually love Married With Children, and, by the way, I live on ramen noodles, pork rinds, peanuts, homemade beef jerky and beer for when I get home late or am not very hungry but need to eat something.

So my post is rather literal. As I scanned down the thread I imagined a laughtrack playing after each response. I chuckled a few times, sort of. That's why I posted what I did. But today it's rocking and worth every bit of popcorn.

Sometimes people confuse us island folks with people that are slow and a@@backwards. We don't go immediately on green at traffic lights. That's because we might hit a tourist flying by seconds after the light changes.

We don't worry when someone gets mad. Because they'll get over it and still need to go back to the bar for a drink.

We don't worry when someone honks. Because we know it's not in anger, it's most likely because of a chicken or cat in the road or because we haven't been over to the house to drink beers and fry fish in a while. When you see arms waving out of cars it's never in anger, it's Hola bro, cuz, etc.

We tell the truth, we blatantly tell the truth ugly or not, and we don't sugarcoat anything because we know it's BS. We will be here together for a long time, and the truth always gets out anyway. We don't get fired and leave Key West over this stuff. It's just different here. We work hard, but play hard. Being immature is part of growing old, we just become professionals at it.

If you look at Keiko's post over the threads, he doesn't get into anger pissing matches, he calls it out for what it is. So when you start seeing his pictures, back up and realize you need to relax, and reread the posts and add a laughtrack after each response, and you will see that things aren't meant or said in mean spirit. Imagine the writer of each post smiling as they write the posts.

Keiko and others would be just fine in Key West. Ultimately it's the people from the mainland who have to return to the real world where people react so quickly to every mundane stimuli, while the rest of us say "toodaloo!" if they aren't welcome back, or "come back and buy me a beer this time" if they are welcome back. I know it's a hard concept to grasp. We all know each other or know someone who knows someone we know. There is no reason to get upset here. The beer is warm, we throw it in the freezer, the dinner was the wrong order, we try something new, the line is long, we make new friends, the light is green we chill for a few seconds and then go very carefully looking left, right, up in the air for chickens, and the back seat of the open car for stray cats.

If you want some real good beef jerky recipes I'll post those. I make several pounds a month, and I don't get tired of the homemade stuff. It's all good brother Cuz!

No one can destroy this thread, it was doomed from the beginning which is the OP's whole point!

I can appreciate some sitcoms, Married With Children included. I like beef jerky, but homemade just doesn't happen for me around here. I'll skip the beer, as I've never liked it; however, I will take a margarita.

You say "he calls it out for what it is," but I disagree. Repeatedly posting lame pictures doesn't say anything but "I have nothing to contribute to this conversation." I've also seen him get into actual picture posting wars with other posters on multiple occasions, which is even worse. If he can't add anything worthwhile to a serious conversation, then he should just stay out of it. Sorry, but from what I've seen of Kieko, he is simply immature and doesn't contribute anything worthwhile to the forum. I call 'em like I see 'em too.

By the way, I had a cold Lone Star beer last night for the first time since I left Victoria in 1980. The memories came guzzling back, and it was one heck of a good tasty beer. I like most beer, from craft, to light, to even some non-alcs like Becks.

Beer Jerky out of a bag isn't very good once you start making your own. A simple dehyrdrator, a sharp knife, and some meat is all you need. I like to use lots of black pepper, some cider vinegar, herbs and spices and then overnight the house smells so good and the jerky rarely makes it beyond more than a day or two because my wife eats more of it than I do. Jerky wouldn't happen around my house either so I have to do it myself. Same with fried chicken.

Keiko, I never stated that you or anyone else couldn't post in this (or any other) thread, or say what you/they want. Most of those quotes were taken out of context, especially the two bolded ones to Jstas, and I'm sure you knew that prior to posting them. I did state that you, and others with similar posting habits, come off as incredibly immature. Feel free to continue posting this kind of garbage and proving my point. However, it will only serve to make you look like a moron.

I will refrain from posting in this thread after this post because it is going nowhere positive. I realize that I shouldn't have even engaged in the conversation that I did.
