Look, there was a thread about knives here:

Demi, I'd suggest that that thread actually had more to do with tongue-in-cheek humor than knives.

I'm looking into the free webspace that comes with my FIOS to setup a small forum and area to upload pics and stuff.

If there are any website or host savvy individuals in our new sub-group, that are willing to offer their services to get us up and running, please let me know.

Our member count is not at 52, amazing.

Simply put, "who the F cares WHY the Polk forum bans talk of firearms?". Fact is, they do ban it. Let's get this party started.

Hey guys, I forgot about a mini-vacation the wife had planned for us which included this past Sunday. I just returned and am catching up on emails and other things. I also didn't expect the overwhelming response so my group email is a little late.

I'm working on compiling everyone and deciding on the webspace and server. Gadabout has offered help on setting it up but the interim will simply be our mailer idea.

Have some patience and make sure you check your spam folder on Sunday.

Shawn474 - Gadabout set up a forum for us and I'm going to check it out tonight. Just hold tight and I'll get it moving so we can rotate this thread over there, we'll be complete and get back to helping other members with the real deal here which is Audio

I have to get an overdue crossover job done for BRGMAN and the demo program shipping labels handled first....so bear with me guys. I have a lot of small things to do and this is another one.

Wzzy - Do not post stuff like that again. The forum isn't anymore tolerant than it was before and those links were inappropriate at best. This thread is ONLY to guide some of us offline, get us together in the same offline way and talk about it in another location. That was very lame, since it's clear you didn't read this thread at all and now you want to equate this thread in some bizarre way with organized pornography, which again is unacceptable.

This is a subject that gets brought up quite a bit over the course of a year and has nothing to do with anything else but membership itself. There's nothing in the thread that violates the rules nor has any member but one, posted anything that was inappropriate the entire time. I believe we are a forum of adults and since 45+ active members have decided that it's best to follow thru with this idea, and move it all offline for good, seems to fit our Club Polk mantra quite well. Good job CP!

I'm just going to start posting gun pictures here, that should get someone's attention.

I'll give you a call this evening.

Just so the other know, this is kind of a test site. I'm not sure of the effect of running a bulletin board on my bandwidth allotment and also the storage space limits. I can also say that the hosting service I have is of the low rent variety. It's works OK for web pages, but it seems to run the BB software pretty slow.

    More to come.
