So these have been sitting idle for about 2 years in a closet so it's time to move them. I live in a townhouse so they're far from practical (I know, not at all the point of SRT's) and aside from hooking them up to play them maybe 3-4 times, I've done nothing with them.

I need to take pictures to post, but these are the pair I drove to Seattle to get about 2 years or so ago http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?t=73177. There is some damage to the top edges if i remember correctly, but they played wonderfully and all was good with the world.

Price: what I have in them = $2000

Shipping: your dime

It will be a couple weeks before I hit California. I would love to have these for my dedicated surround rig.
    I am in on these.

For all involved, because 'holds' on items can go sideways for any number of reason, these will be sold to the first person that ponies up the cash. I have been in the position of holding something for someone that ended up passing where other buyers got sidelined, so it's not a personal thing.

Understood Brett. The only delays I would have are due simply to moving cross-country. We roll from here in ten days, and will be in a little Pontiac Sunfire... It would be a month before I could make the trip. I can make a deposit for them and if I need to pay for shipping to L.A., so be it. Let me know...

nooshinjohn can pony up in a month or so, it would take me that long or longer to get out to SLC.

I guarandamntee you that it would cost you less to drive/pick up than it would be to ship (considering I have zero packing materials for them).

I'll post pics by Monday eve (busy weekend and traveling), but for now, the tentative list is nooshinjohn, then aviator.

If someone steps up with money for them paid in full, I'll be taking that though, so no need for deposits.

To restate, I'm not being a dick about this.....just don't want to let cash now go for hopefully cash later.....

You REALLY don't want to ship these if you can avoid it. I'm speaking from my own personal experience with repacking them and the seller had the original boxes / packing materials when I picked mine up. 2 people are required and without the original foam/boxes, they'd better know what they are doing. Otherwise, these things won't make it. They're just too heavy and awkward. $2k is a ridiculous low price.

GLWS! BTW, which surrounds do you have?

They are not mine.... yet:tongue:. I respect Brett's choice to sell them to the first with cash in hand. I would hope that we can come to some understanding, but they ultimately are his speakers to sell and he sets the terms.

My apologies as I did not have time to break these out of the closet to snap a few pics, so that will have to wait until next weekend.

The surrounds I have are the little front/back facing f/x type (can't think of the model off the top of my head) and they're white. Everything else is black.

Holy crap! These don't come around often and I'm 30 miles north of SLC in Ogden. Brett, are these still completely packed. I would love to hear them as I'm sure they're considered a step up from my modified LSi setup for HT.

It's a hard life, but I manage to make it by somehow... oh yeah, you forgot to mention I'm about to be demoing the 707s too...

All that aside, I still wish I could have some SRT time. I've only heard good things about them.

Do not even entertain shipping. It's a plain and simple cash and carry type of loudspeaker Brett...we talked about that already.

These are the pinnacle of Polk Audio SDA loudspeakers guys and rare as they come. There's a total sales number but we don't talk about things like that
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Get the SRT first. You can get the pre at a later time.
These don't come by often. If you're a fan of SDA and love your Movies/Music with limitless dynamics, These are the speakers to get.

That's the thing...I've heard these...a longtime ago...at a demo at the now-gone Hifi-Buys...Matt Polk himself did the demo...

All I remember is utter astonishment....

The problem with the pre is that I don't have one that functions, aside from hooking up my Oppo directly to the Cary...

You're completely right, Russ. The two main arrays sound great with music with the right stereo system.
