You are correct Bob, we are this way as well including me so I'm not uptight about it. However, the difference is that we are waaaay more discreet about it. It is usually saved for a womans night out party at someones house.

I visit quite a few boards that are predominately women & this kind of stuff simply never comes up, or if it does, it's far more subdued and it certainly isn't done on a board that has corporate sponsership from a major company that is accessible to both genders and all ages.

And this is the only audio board that I've come across that is like this. I know that this is human nature, but I also know that there is a time & place for everything especially when there is the potential for a world wide audience as most of the web & certainly this board is.

It's all about impressions & if you want people to have a good impression of the board or a bad one.

What audio boards are you going to? I've never seen it NOT happen.

As far as impressions, if Polk Audio is going to live and die by what other people think of me...well, they've been screwed for a loooooong time by now.

I'm pretty uptight, myself. And never been very comfortable in male circles that exude a lot of alcoholic laced testosterone-induced banter--what's the point--wasn't Junior High enough? Really? Unfortunately one of my Doctoral exams had a lot of Freud on it so what can I say! Or rather, what would Sigmund say?

Personally, I couldn't care less about it. We fought two wars a couple hundred years ago so I wouldn't have to care anymore.

BTW, that Kate Middleton chick is pretty nice looking but I think her sister Pippa is better looking.

Another one added, Kate on the left, Pippa in the middle.

Kate is certainly a beautiful young lady but I think Pippa has it all over her sister.

    ROTFLMAO!

Seems like the macho thing to do (denial) but what gets me, is with your thread you bate them, they all run into the discussion claiming they don't care and have enough of it already and yet this thread is up to 3 pages with a few Polkies that seem to have a membership in the thread! I am not too sure if they really have enough of it.

In any way, the last pic Jstas provided shows 3 beautifull classy young ladies and I guess that pic would deserve a spot in the audio babe thread. While they are not surrounded by audio gear, it beats quite a few of the pics that were provided. Classy women has much better taste!

If Dame Helen Mirren can hang in for another 15 years... not sure if this counts as crass, but right now I'd pay to see her naked.

Ok, pretty sure that counts as crass.

Did you see her on Saturday Night Live last week? They had a skit where the women cast members came into her dressing room and asked to touch her ****. They had magical powers.

I think alot have pissed on the thread and have no clue what exactly the royal family really does for third world country's or helping small businesses and playing a key part in foreign policy

The queen does not just wave her hand from a balcony as it's perceived by most of the immature posters. There is way more going on inside Buckingham Palace

16 million 'commoners' died in World War I because because these monarchies couldn't decide how to divide up Europe, over 100,000 of them being Americans, despite having the royal families related to each other by marriage. The Windsors are actually German. And after these wise monarchies got done punishing Germany for just being on the wrong side of the family argument, a little known paper hanger came to power and gave us the ride that was World War II and the ****.

That the British royals have managed to put a happy face on that kind of history despite having their man Charles create a circus by cheating on and divorcing the last Bride of the last Wedding of the Century, doesn't mean I have to now fawn all over the house of Windsor and their role in history because one of them gets married.

I do wish the new couple well as the antics of past royals are certainly not their fault. But it's hard to take people seriously when they start to gush about how properly revered the royals are and what a great part of government they are when compared to America when Americans paid a dear price in blood to them...twice in the last century.

If they got rid of the monarchy then we could put a Disneyland in Britain. Who wants fairytale castles and princesses when you've got real ones. As it stands we have to stick another one in China. :frown:
