Anyone have a lady that is absolutely in love with the stupidest, most vile creature alive?

I certainly do. It's this morbidly obese cat who does nothing but eat and shed. He just walked out of his garage sized litter box covered in cat poo because he decided to toss it around a little after he was done. I hate it so much. She just thinks his fattness is cute, even though he's literally too fat to clean anything except his front paws. Don't feed him you say? Well then he howls until you do, day or night.

/rant

PS I let her wash the crap off of him.

My wife had three cats [notice the wording].

One scratched my brand new truck.

The other would crap in various places in the house.

The other would pee on my ultra trick and clean dirt bike in the garage.

I hated all of them... they are dead now and we have no cats.

The worst part was she had asthma when she was pregnant with our first kid and I had to feed them and clean their litter boxes.

I reallly really do not like cats.

    You are not alone.

Now...now...no need to resort to violence (yet). I think (hope) the "gentle ultimatum" will suffice as it puts the ball (no pun intended) in the girlfriend's court and also emphasizes how big of a problem this is for Airplay.

Hopefully, this cat is not the girlfriend's surrogate child, in which case she will most likely choose motherhood over male companionship if the gentle ultimatum is offered.

Funny how all of the stories in here involve a cat. We have 2 cats that the wife loves. I can not stand them and I am looking forward to the day that they die. We will never own another cat.

Yea but you can always say the gun went off while you were cleaning it or that the cat just jumped in the wood chipper for some reason.

Honestly, I would talk to her about it and not us.

How she reacts may give an indication as to whether or not "she" is compatible. Truth. Peace. Out. Good luck and best wishes.

One thing to keep in mind? It is, after all a two way street.

I've got two cats. The 1st one hates me.
The 2nd one likes me. Guess which one she likes?
You guessed it, the one that hates me.
BTW, she's the one that brought them both home, yet somehow
I'm to blame for cat #2.
Cat #2 is currently sitting next to my desk waiting for me to go crank up some tunes and hang out.

Unless we have several acres someday, we will never own a cat.

My neighbors are lucky their cats are still alive after I find cat prints on my truck.

My wife has a dog thats pretty annoying sometimes and as stubborn as any dog I've ever seen, but I dont hate her.

I can't get rid of her and she'd never get rid of the cat so I'm just gonna have to deal with it. Plus of course it's a two way street and I only hate one of the cats. I just needed to complain. I've always liked cats because we had outdoor cats who came in to eat and sleep and then wanted to be back outside disemboweling some innocent rodent. This needy indoor cat crap is terrible.

Luckily he has FIV so hopefully he wont last long. No more cats after this for sure. Such a gross creature. After he's gone though she's probably going to want some stupid 8 lb dog. If a hawk could fly away with it, it's not a friggen dog.

I have two cats... and have had several rotate through the house with various girlfriends. The one, I've had since before I moved into the house, so she's been the constant bitchy companion. The other was a recent "weak moment" adoption when she needed a home (the cat, not a girlfriend).

I have come to determine that I, too, hate cats. It's all well and good until they decide they don't feel like pissing in a perfectly clean litterbox. But, I'm fully committed now... I can't just get rid of them because they're "not working".

The ex-girlfriends went away... and they didn't even piss on the carpets!

Nice choices, either one would propose challenges that I hope your up for. The wolf hybrid will take intense training and still you may not be able to trust it. Too much "wild" in it. While some can be great pets, one never knows the amount of wolf in a hybrid. Usually trying to take something wild and trying to turn it domestic turns out in a disaster.
Pits I would still be leary in the adoption only because you may not get an accurate background of the animal. They tend to hide the bad stuff because who would adopt that animal if they knew.
I've known many pits, most as gentle as can be, still wouldn't trust them around kids. Either way, I encourage you to think it through.

I am with the cat haters, I grew up with our animals always being outdoors, we lost plenty of cats to coyotes and what not. Circle of life... right?

I almost feel as though its a mistake to move in with the girlfriend in 3 months, she has 2 cats, 1 is a horrible piece of needy s@#t. Why do people think cats are self sufficient compared to dogs? cats can stink up apartments with 1 tiny little **** more so than I ever could with horrible explosive diarrhea. (I have never tested this theory) Her hell cat wakes you up to put more food in its bowl even if there still is some, because she has it used to a schedule and its fat, it doesn't need the food.

I guess I dont understand why people who hate x animal move in or get in relationships with people who love animal x.

Do you really think that once the current one is gone that another one isnt ever going to show up.

I would think it would be much easier to fine some one who meets your criteria.

What would happen if you left a dog inside for a week with no one home? It would be a distaster zone.

Our cats are always bringing birds to the font door. If they were left alone outside they would be able to HUNT their own food. A dog would resort to scavaging the neghborhood trash cans.

Nice example of how they aren't! You just said you clean the litter box everyday... how does that happen when you leave them home alone for a week at a time? My guess is you come home to a nice zesty aroma.

All sarcasm aside, I don't mean this is the criteria in every single case. But a lot of cats don't control their eating especially indoor cats in my experience. My girlfriend's cats would die the second they stepped outside.

My family has an adopted pit who has always been friendly and obedient (aside from killing small creatures outside). But you're right, both of those dogs are tough to deal with, especially the wolves. I do like german shepards a lot, never considered a rott though. My family also has an extremely large golden retriever at a thin and in shape 95 lbs. Not the biggest dog in the world but definitely one of the largest goldens around.

I just like dogs so much better. If my golden was annoying me, all I had to say was go in your spot and he'd go find a rug or blanket to lay down on. The cat sleeps where he wants, goes where he wants, does what he wants and there's no telling him otherwise. The only thing I was able to do was keep him off the couches. Litter boxes are disgusting and the fact that he digs around in it afterwards is even more disgusting.

It's strange though because the cats I had when I was a kid weren't half as bad as this. Maybe I just hate needy fat indoor cats. Our cats were all indoor/outdoor cats so the only thing they were needy about was opening the door to let them out. If they were outside and wanted to come in, they waited. None of this howling, scratching crap.

    Ugh.
