    Four years ago this May my mom died in the hospital while I was holding her hand and like you I was heartbroken. All I can say is that the pain eases over time. Good on you for making her last moments enjoyable. My condolances.

    As others have said, take solace in the fact that you were with her until the end. It was no doubt comforting to her. Hang in there.
