Prayers and thoughts sent your way. I agree with what technokid said eairlier.

My mother had a chance to speak to me, my dad didn't.

I'm glad you can be beside her to comfort her. I'm sure she feels your presence.

Thank you all so much for the encouraging and warm wishes. Unfortunatly my Mother passed away today at 12:05 PM. I was holding her hand and looking into her eyes when it occurred. She had opened her eyes and seemed to clearly hear me for the last few minutes.

I told her thoughts from my heart and said that I am glad that we are together at that moment and she shouldn't be afraid. Strange because she cried as I said it but couldn't really move. I wiped he tears and said lets listen to this song together. "Careless Whisper" had just come on the radio and I reminded her of when we listened to this in my bedroom together as I was packing to move out as an 18 year old. It broke my heart but she passed right after the song ended.

My Mother introduced me to music and taught me to love it. She played piano and sang beautifully and the house was always full of music. The last memory we shared was with music. It's because of her I have friends on a site like this and I am grateful for all of it. Rest in peace Mom, I love you.

Really sorry to hear the news HB:frown: It was I am sure very comforting for your mom to have you there though. When my dad passed 2 years ago he was in a coma and breathing very heavily but would not let go, a dear friend of the family sat next to me and sang in a very low voice "Mary had a little lamb" to him, within two verses he finally let go. Aw hell, there go my tear ducts again...anyway, you and your family take care and know that we are all here for you and yours!

Man, that must have been tough to go through, but like everyone said, I bet it meant the world to her. She is at peace now, and you will always be grateful for being able to spend the last few moments you had with her by her side, not many people get to do that. Hang in there and you and your famly will be in my thoughts. Anything I can do to help, don't hesitate to ask.

I am really sorry for your loss, my condolences go out to you and your family. How fitting the whole song situation. I know exactly how you feel. When my mother in law passed late December (last year), her favorite time of year was Xmas, Silent Night played while she was passing almost to the pasrt of "sleep in heavenly peace" still gives me goose bumps thinking of it. But I thought, like I said to you, how fitting!
