I listen to Yanni. Well, only one CD. Live at the Acropolis.

(Actually, if you ever listen to the Live at the Acropolis CD it is amazing music. The musicians he has are extremely talented, especially the violinists. Amazing solos.)

    Yes, incredibly shameful

I'm still waiting for someone to break out the Office Space reference:

I'll be honest with you, I love his music. I do. I'm a Michael Bolton fan. For my money, I don't know if it gets any better than when he sings "When a Man Loves a Woman". I celebrate his entire catalog.

Does it count if I own something but don't listen to it?

I have collected CDs since I was 14 or so, and NEVER sell anything, and when you own 4500 CDs like I do, you're bound to have a few bad ones...so keep that in mind.

Also, if I own anything from an artist, I own every album. It's a wierd OCD thing I have, but every artist in my collection is fully represented (barring any very rare expensive albums).

Most of my embarassment comes in the R&B category...

    John Tesh
    Josh Groban
    Babyface
    Bobby Brown
    Boyz II Men
    Shai
    Tony Rich
    Tony braxton
Cats (yes, as in the musical)

I think it's time to gather up some of tthese CDs and make a trip to the store and lessen my collection a bit. Those are the ones I'm actually embarrased to own, but I have around 750 CDs that I'll never listen to again, and with the job situation and all I should really go sell those.

I'm just gonna burn the Cats musical though...

I am in for the Boyz II Men and Shai...
Cant remember the name of the song that Shai did.. something like..

As we walk down the aisle, together.....

    Wow, the memories...

The other night I was groving to Michael Bolton , "Soul Provider" on vinyl followed by Dan Hill "Longer Fuse" featuring "Sometimes When We Touch." I was going to follow it up with The Carpenters "1969 - 1981 SACD," but I probably would have broke down! (Actually the Carpenters SACD is awesome) :)

I was just mellowing out that night.

Neil Diamond rocks, Heart rocks and Cyndi Lauper can belt them out. No shame with any of those!

I can lend someone my "ABC" collection! hmmmmm.....

None of you have probably heard of this band, but I grew up listening to DC Talk (christian artist) and me and one of my buddies will bust out in harmony every once in a while. Our wives roll their eyes. So I don't technically listen to them anymore, I just belt um out. Is that better or worse???

I don't have a TT rig at the moment so I am technically exempt from the shame of "spinning" it.

    Confession:

The first two records I ever owned are Rod Stewart "Every Picture Tells a Story" and Bobby Goldsboro's "Greatest Hits". I still have them as keepsakes. I loved "Maggie May" and "Muddy Mississippi Line" so my parents bought those two records when I was 6 or 7 for my birthday.
