The TSI200's are the newer version of the monitor 40's. They have a nicer piano gloss top. The 200's are about the same price everywhere. You can get the 40's for a lot less and they are basically the same speaker.
Just sayin...Front - RTiA5's
Rear - RTiA3's
Center - CSiA4
Sub - PSW110 -

Geez for that, I'd go to Polk's ebay direct page and get a set of RTiA3's for $235 and call it a day!

I've actually been after the 40's but I see the 200's have 25 more watts of power.Source: BRP Panasonic UB9000, CDP Emotiva ERC3 - Display: LG OLED EVO 83 C3 - Pre/Pro: Marantz 8802A - Amplification: Emotiva XPA-DR3, XPA-2 x 2, XPA-6, Speakers, Mains/2ch-Focal Kanta No2's, C-LSiM706, S-702F/X, RS-RTiA9's, WS-RTiA9's, FH-RTiA3's, Subs - Epik Empire x 2

The difference is that the Tsi 200 can handle 25 more watts than the Monitor 40's. Is the $169.01 (newegg pricing) difference in price worth the additional power handling capability? More than likely not...I doubt that you would ever listen at levels that would tap out your speakers at their max power rating. To drive either the Tsi200 or Monitor 40's to 89db would only require about 1 to 10 watts - and listening for a prolonged level at that volume could damage your hearing.

The short reply is that during quiet passages at normal average listening levels with moderate sensitivity speakers, the amplifier is running at one or two watts. On loud peaks with wide dynamic range material (with the volume control at the same setting), the amplifier might be asked to deliver 200W to reproduce the peak without distortion. Amplifier output power varies as a function of the musical signal more than most people realize.

Okay then, 40's it is, took advantage of the previous sale on the egg. This will complete my upgrade from the Onkyo 7.1 speakers I had to a 7.1 PolkAudio system with the .1 being an Epik Empire. This sub rocks by the way, if any of you get an opportunity to get one of these, don't hesitate.Source: BRP Panasonic UB9000, CDP Emotiva ERC3 - Display: LG OLED EVO 83 C3 - Pre/Pro: Marantz 8802A - Amplification: Emotiva XPA-DR3, XPA-2 x 2, XPA-6, Speakers, Mains/2ch-Focal Kanta No2's, C-LSiM706, S-702F/X, RS-RTiA9's, WS-RTiA9's, FH-RTiA3's, Subs - Epik Empire x 2

Thank you my brother. I should be able to relax now for awhile except, I have this nagging throb in the back of my neck and it has a voice, it keeps whispering "get the Emotiva super charger XPA3" No doubt I'll ignore it for as long as I canSource: BRP Panasonic UB9000, CDP Emotiva ERC3 - Display: LG OLED EVO 83 C3 - Pre/Pro: Marantz 8802A - Amplification: Emotiva XPA-DR3, XPA-2 x 2, XPA-6, Speakers, Mains/2ch-Focal Kanta No2's, C-LSiM706, S-702F/X, RS-RTiA9's, WS-RTiA9's, FH-RTiA3's, Subs - Epik Empire x 2

Okay boys (and girls?), I just received my 40's. Last night I mounted the shelf mounts (mounted high and wide for "wide" application) in anticipation of this arrival. Time to plug and play and hear my new 7.2 system. I'll be posting pics later on :biggrin:Source: BRP Panasonic UB9000, CDP Emotiva ERC3 - Display: LG OLED EVO 83 C3 - Pre/Pro: Marantz 8802A - Amplification: Emotiva XPA-DR3, XPA-2 x 2, XPA-6, Speakers, Mains/2ch-Focal Kanta No2's, C-LSiM706, S-702F/X, RS-RTiA9's, WS-RTiA9's, FH-RTiA3's, Subs - Epik Empire x 2
