I think the best thing for you to realize is that you shouldn't again have a transaction in the FM. You don't get what it's about, therefore you don't deserve it.

That said, You had gained respect by taking it back. You lost every ounce of respect on the last two threads. No, there isn't more hostility on Club Polk. In fact, it's rather laid back at the moment....given the history here.

Move on and sell elsewhere would be my suggestion.

Agreed. We watch after our crew and forum. Some will never understand and even when we butt heads on more than one occasion, there is still an underlying oath to the core beliefs amongst the smaller membership group.

You dont have to be the best of friends to know that help and assistance is always a keystroke away. PFB, you had everything right back to normal and just had to get the last word. It's almost always the worst idea.

This has always been one of the best FM's on the net....and were going to keep it that way.

To the tune of"Needle and the Damage done"

I saw you knockin' at the FM door
Sell some gear and then buy somemore

    Oh,oh, the damage done

I hit the forum and I fell from grace
The Polk FM is such as awesome place

    Oh,Oh the damage done

I post away because I love the folk
lets' not forget it's in the name of Polk

don't turn out to be a setting sun
treat people fair and then have some fun

Dude, if everyone is looking at you as if you are in the wrong... you can either look at it like "everyone has a problem but me" or "I must have a problem". Which way do you think makes more sense?

The rules are the same for everyone. Yes, there are people closer than others here but it doesn't change the basics. What is the single sentence problem with your perspective about what has happened to you? I'm sure that I missed the first thread but you sound hell bent on destroying yourself here.

Ok no one see's my side but since you asked doro here goes

I packaged up my receiver in a bigger box than I should have stuffed tight

I have packaged up 3 sets of polk speakers and an onkyo receiver in the same fashion with no probs and sent them out to happy members of the forum

The recipient receives his package that I was with every step of the way and he gets it

I get a pm saying one of the hdmi ports does not work and thats where the whole thing should have ended and he would have got a full refund and shipping payed

Instead he asks if there is anything I wanted to do about it .I just payed $400 and let it go to him for $290 so I was not going to go lower than the $60 that I already did

I offerd to give him money for a splitter he ignores me but still posts here

4 days later he then says that the receiver shuts down so I send im's offering alot of helpfull advice on speaker connection trouble shooting and tell him about protection mode etc

Then he comes and tells me that he is fine and can live with one port not working but that the receiver does not work and breaking down every 10 minutes . He tells me that because the receiver has started shutting down I will have to file an insurance claim with ups and he cant sell a broken receiver

He uses the same speakers as he does with his onkyo 607 and he used banana clips and assures me no wires are touching and this is all my fault and he has been screw'd and he
is going to report me to pay pal

My wife was on my **** everyone here was on my **** .I went through the stress of thinking I had no receiver all because the buyer could not be honest and say

I dont always use hdmi ..but when I do it better work

All this BS and stress would never had occurred

I have not even heard him mention **** about the problems with it shutting down on here and why would that be?

I am now getting pm's from the party totally contradicting himself and just going with the hdmi story because thats all every one here is doing . He's also mocking me telling me now every one else on here know's I'm an idiot and wont be buying from me ever again

To be frank I think alot of the guys here have manifested who they really are in response with the abusive reply's

I posted one pm and the thread got shut down so I thought it was wise not to post them anymore

If you want I can post every pm I have and make a vid of the receiver taking a beating by my polk rti next to todays news paper

You have my permission to go into my account and read for yourself

I have been advised via pm to just drop it and move on so thats what I will do

Ok, fair enough and good advice. I never saw the first thread. You may PM me or email anything you feel is worth talking points offline. Thanks.

No one can go into your account, not even Patrick, pm's are JUST that, PRIVATE messages (and in my opinion should remain that way short of threats of violence, harm, or all out verbal abuse). The transaction had a few bumps, but at the end of the day, you've got the unit back, undamaged, have a drink, fire up some tunes and be done with it.

Mark (Doro) mods the Flea Market, and he's great with moderation as far as providing advice on botched or sketchy transactions. Usually a pm to him will help, or at least get you pointed in the right direction, without bias.

    Cheers,
    Russ
