Oh, she won't be suing over the fountain incident. She's got bigger things to worry about.

Well, at least the house arrest they assume she will get for here prior shoplifting crimes will probably keep her out of the fountain .

I'm wonder if her shoplifting charges and purchases with a stolen credit card charges occurred in that same shopping mall?

Oh no, people are laughing at me for falling into a fountain b/c I'm too GD stupid to look up occasionally while I'm TEXTING AND WALKING.

The mindset of society today is sad. "Noone came to my aid." It's not like she was in there for more than 10 seconds.

And her sniffles make me want to reach through the video and choke her @ss out. What an infuriating interview....

I KNOW than no one knew who it was until she came forward which made it even more funny. Than she wanted a apology now money WTF.

I want to find her and laugh in her face.

Ok, looking at the OP it implies the lady wants to sue because she fell in while having a reckless attitude and of course that led me to think the same as the OP but...

    1. While it is stupid to walk around texting not checking what you are doing and thus acting in a reckless matter the fountain is definitely not safe and is an invitation for some like this to happen and one could in fact have ground for sueying however, this is irrelevant since this is not her intention.

    2. While this is public arena, close circuit camera's are for security purpose and not to be shared publicly (right of privacy) unless necessary for court purpose or authorised by the person on the video. Acting differently IMO gives the victim of privacy violation ground for suying.

    3. They have first to prove the video source was actually taken from the surveillance camera (which shouldn't be hard to do) and once that done suying actions should be justified and successfull IMO.

    4. IMO, mall is responsible since it is their CCTV system, their employees and the mall is therefore responsible for this action.

    5. Once proven who is the guilty beast for posting this on "UTooB" should be fired and even charged.

    6. Mall is responsible for his/her employee's action and therefore ground is there to sue them.

    7. "UToob" IMO should also be charged and ordered to remove the video from the internet.

Yes she acted in a very dumb way but it doesn't give anyone ground or rights to post this on "UTooB" (unless of course she had agreed to it).

How is a fountain "not safe"? It's perfectly safe. It's clearly visible, and it makes noise so you can't even argue it's a hazard to the blind.
    2. While this is public arena, close circuit camera's are for security purpose and not to be shared publicly (right of privacy) unless necessary for court purpose or authorised by the person on the video. Acting differently IMO gives the victim of privacy violation ground for suying.

    Suying is not a word.

There is no right of privacy in a public place.

The woman's face is not visible, and therefore her "privacy" is intact, regardless of what you think her rights are.
    3. They have first to prove the video source was actually taken from the surveillance camera (which shouldn't be hard to do) and once that done suying actions should be justified and successfull IMO.

Justified? If this girl had not stepped forward, it would be an anonymous video. Suying still not a word.
    4. IMO, mall is responsible since it is their CCTV system, their employees and the mall is therefore responsible for this action.

    5. Once proven who is the guilty beast for posting this on "UTooB" should be fired and even charged.

I think they should be given a medal. I'm glad you think someone should lose their job in a tough economy for putting a video on the Internet that harms zero people.
    7. "UToob" IMO should also be charged and ordered to remove the video from the internet.

Wow. Thank God you live in Canada.

..and if she wasn't texting while walking, then falling into a fountain; there would have never been a video....ya get the idea. Her own carelessness and stupidity put her in this situation.

She saw an opportunity to make money, and tried to capitilize on it, PERIOD. Let's call a spade, a spade.
