Ok guys / gals, I'll update the thread with some details after dinner, but here are some quick pics as promised.

I will say one thing, this was my first demo of the new LSiM, and everyone here needs to quit spending money on piddly this, tweak that. Suck it up, save it up. It's ramen and bologna time if need be, you're going to want them.

These are NOTHING like anything Polk has ever produced, period.

I'll get some better pics when I can. (flash off for some while press was demoing)

Cheers,
Russ

Russ, if you end up with any of these at your place, you HAVE to do a demo for us locals...

There will be an open house, trust me - and possibly LSAF this year. I've even called in favors from high end manufacturers to borrow equipment to match up with them. My current gear is no where near good enough.

    Cheers,
    Russ

Is it true that Polk is giving away an LSiM system to each CP member who makes a post in January???
SDA SRS modded: X’ovrd, de-polyed, inductorized, interconnectorized, re-posted, dynamited, RDO’d, spiked, gasketed, ringed (Larry's), and grill cloth blinged! Done this on my own? Not a chance. Thanks to Raife and all who forged easy to follow upgrades. At least a 100% improvement in sound and my personal listening pleasure! :cheesygrin:Pass XP-10 preamp, Parasound A21 amp, Pioneer Elite DV-58AV (Ric Shultz modded), Audioquest Sky IC's, No longer need my Sunfire sub after mods...

I have not seen a pic of these with their clothes on. Do they have grills or do the tramps always run around naked?

Or how about a "cash for clunkers" program? I've got about 7-8 pairs of old crappy speakers, and a graveyard of old junk audio components...all just laying around not doing anything. I'd gladly send them to you in exchange for a big credit towards some new Polk merchandise.

The grilles are magnetic, no holes, pegs, nothing. Also, I learned an interesting GENIUS feature tonight - they have levelling spikes. THAT YOU ADJUST FROM THE TOP via an allen wrench. No more flipping the speaker upside down, then right side up, then upside down, or tiltling it slightly, doing the balancing act - no more.

Awesome features there Russ, and I have yet to hear them. I will take your word for it, but if you say they will take their place next to the SDA-SRS's as true flagships, I will take your word for it. I do look forward to auditioning them.

Good looking LSI M's. It would be awesome if someone in DFW area could setup a demo. What does LSAF stand for?

There will be a DFW demo, and LSAF is LoneStarAudioFest.com

Release date is coming up, I didn't get a firm date tonight - the towers are still prototypes but I think they are in or nearing the final stage.

Bruce, the 'engine' is the key. The midbass, midrange, and tweeter in the bookshelf and two towers will perform identically. The tower options are simply for one to determine how much bass they want, for lack of a better term.

You can't quote me, but I believe $1500 on the bookshelf speakers, then $3000 and $4000 on the two towers.

    Cheers,
    Russ

But are they at "Reference" level?

Either way, I am upgrading my HT front LSi15s to the LSiM 707. Maybe after they are broken in I will move them to the two channel, and see how they compare to the PSBs since they are in the same price range. Just a little less expensive.

    Dear Russman,
Thanks for showing me the speakers that will be replacing my current Lsi's in about 5 years. By then I should be able to sell a kidney, a young child, and my house in order to afford them. I should have enough money left to afford the "right" amplifier that all of us here at Polk Forums will be debating would sound best with the new LsiM's.
    The end.
