Why? Because he said it was time to sell everything? I think he was being sarcastic, given that it took him four months to get to 100.

No. It's because Bozos belong on a Bozo List.

I think I might be on that list as well. No biggie, because I met GG at PolkFest 2010 and he was every bit the gentleman. First class! George was great with everyone there, a real Mensch!

Everyone is on someone's list. But when we see 'each other', it's one BIG happy, albeit, mildly dysfunctional family--Polkies, that is.

Or as Dinero says in Brasil: We're all in this together! (or something like that).

I believe Cody is here to learn, and while our rules are what they are to sell, he didn't break any, so whats the big deal here ?

Cody, I know you were being sarcastic in the original post, but we take our FS section seriously, and sometimes even just joking can raise an eyebrow or two. We have had many fly by nighters rush to get 100 posts, sell some garbage and beat it. Understand my man ? I suggest we shove this thread under the bridge and move on.

I don't see the point in telling someone, and everyone else reading the thread, that you've put them on your list. If you want to list someone, then list them, but stating publically, and within their celebratory thread no less, that you've listed them is, 1, immature and potentially unnecessarilly hurtful, and, 2, defeats the point of listing them in the first place, which is to ignore them. Going out of your way to tell someone that you're ignoring them is just a tad ironic, don't ya think.

So if you want to list me, then by all means, go right ahead, but there's no need to tell me or the rest of this public forum about your decision.

I pay respect where it is deserved and earned, not to someone who finds it irresistable to announce the placement of some innocuous new member on his list to the whole club and to the world at large. Do it or don't.......just keep it to yourself is what I'd expect from someone I would respect. In person, might be a whole other person, I only know that which I've read, and......thus far I ain't impressed.:smile::smile: Did ya get my PM ??

But there is a party at my house and you're not invited. George is always welcome, no invite needed because...well, I'm not a "fanboy" but he is a friend. However, I do not believe George takes pleasure in watching a UFC match. I'm guessing you don't understand that otherwise you wouldn't make the comments that you do.

George doesn't need to be defended. He's perfectly capable of doing that himself. He also doesn't give a rat's behind about it so even better. However, post count aside, George's tenure here predates most...well, probably all but 3 that I can think of. In that time he has 8500 or so posts. In a decade he's posted 8500 times. Some of you yahoos come in here and in less than 6 months you exceed his post count easily with your inane babble and bandwidth wasting. George contributes not only to the forum but to the community overall. Most of you yahoos come in here bitching about an "inner circle" or a "clique" and start running off at the mouth. Then you claim that you get ganged up on because you insult someone who has an established good reputation here and their friends come to their defense. You yahoos are fools if you think it's anything else. I will gladly open my big mouth and unleash my sparkling, magnetic and electrifying personality on any jackwagon that wants to take a shot at anyone I consider a friend. No clique, no inner circle, no conspiracy just being a good friend.

BTW...one of the reasons that some people cared about post counts in the past was that we used to have hurdles and titles associated with the number of counts that we WISELY dispensed with--you can ask some of the old-timers about that. I logged on in the transitional period.

I am not sure of what is right or wrong here, but...George has sent me PM's that were very helpful. But, more than that George helps kids!! I respect him for that and for other things. He is a good man!! I don't kiss nobody's a$$, and I suck up to nobody here or anywhere else. Give George his credit, he takes nothing from anyone and does a lot for children. That can't be bad no matter how you look at it.

People will not always agree on each others methods or ways of doing things, but the facts speak for themselves. I really would like to meet each and every member here, but haven't been able to afford to travel to the latest Polk Fests, maybe one day.

We are all different. It would be very boring if we were all the same.

I hope everyone had a great Christmas and has a great New Year!!!

Hey, I am not trying to stir up anything, but at least he is big enough to let people know. Like i said, everyone won't agree with everything we all do, but we all share a few common interests in audio. There are other great things that happen here too. George does a lot for kids, I wish I could match what he does, but I simply can't. Maybe someone you love will be helped by him one day?? Life has ways of making us all humble, it certainly has me, but I won't get in to that here.

I agree with much of what you said, v. Some, however, post ignorant crap in a conscience effort just to stir the pot. gdb's been doing just that for some time now. That 'dwarf' reference is an example and is completely out of line as far as I'm concerned. I've never met George, but it doesn't take a degree in physics to realize he's one of the finest human beings on the planet. I'll take the fanboy comment as a compliment since I have a good dialogue with George and consider him a good friend. My door is always open to him and his family.

Then you have individuals like gdb, whom I wouldn't piss on if they combusted spontaneously.

Wow, I just went back and read that post, I must have missed it somehow. I agree it is completely out of line. I think I've posted enough for others to see that I have nothing but a lot of respect for George Grand. Hopefully this will get better.

I just posted in this as it seemed a bit odd that at the same time someone had 100 posts I hit 1000 and added that.
