How NOT to handle an "I haven't received my money/merchandise" thread
Comments

Oh Dear GOD !! Get Over yourself, the faith in mankind thing ?? Yeah, a tongue in cheek, wink wink, witticism ! Don't be so fargeing literal,sheesh.:biggrin:
I get it.....but the point is that many say thing along those lines and really, what's the point? Get the rope, circle the wagons, burn burn burn blah blah blah........
I've been here for over 9 years........but Tool not getting paid for something didn't even make my **** clench in the slightest. It wasn't handled approprately, a point that is now clear I believe, but how someone who's been here for a few months or a year are ready to have their world upended by this is beyond me.comment comment comment comment. bitchy. -
You do realize that the responses insinuating that he 'give it more time' and 'don't say a name' on this entire topic are just about exclusively from people who have been here for a 1-3 years?
While I haven't really ever bought into the notion that 'new' members can't understand the way some of the unwritten things work at Club Polk -- those responses prove that many just don't get it and legitimize the posts that say as much.
When all is said and done, I'm glad Larry will get his money and the issue will be resolved -- FOR HIM. However, since he chose to bring it into the open -- it IS NOT resolved with the forum.
Since a thread was started, we now have the knowledge that there's someone here who dicks people over for 6+ months by ignoring PMs and E-Mails. The way things work around here is you name that person and they take their medicine in the open forum, whether they're from 2001, 2010, or any time in between. Yes, a long time member will probably get cut more slack than someone who has been here a couple months, but it will still go on the record and they still need to answer for themselves.
Could be a real hard luck story, who knows. That's no excuse for ignoring the problem.
Yep, i realize, and trust me, i'm on the same boat you are.
The only difference is that i chose to keep my comments on that subject in the other thread. Larry knows how i felt about the whole thing if he read my responses in that thread, and that's all i can do about it. Give my input, and move on.I don't read the newsssspaperssss because dey aaaallllllllll...... have ugly print.

So two threads and close to 100 posts who was the guilty person? Or did I miss something?

I tried to stay on the sidelines, but just can't keep myself from chiming in.
Does anyone get the irony that the same disingenuous pledge from the still unknown buyer to pay money by a certain date that was made 6 months ago has been made again, but no money has yet been exchanged.

Technically .... yes
Should have said, "Bizill".
But being as you did technically post in this thread and being as "Bizill" and "Bobman1235" both begin with the letter "B", I'm not going to consider that an error on my part and thus willl NOT be reflected on my yearly evaluation.Sal Palooza -

"I'll gladly pay you Tuesday, for a hamburger today."
I remember that "Popeye" and yes I get the irony but seriously guy's don't you think we've beat this horse long enough. It's Larry's deal and he's going to deal with it however he fell's like it and IT'S NOT OUR PLACE OR SHOULD IT BE to tell him how he should or shouldn't deal with it.
IMHO this thread and the other one should be shut down just like the original. But than again what do I know I'm just a newbe here. Just my $0.02“The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.” ~ Mark Twain -
