    Looks to me like Larry made contact with the offending party and things may be resolved soon.

    Why make another useless thread about it? Seem to me its just more salt in an open wound.

    There's still a 6 month gap between when an item was in the hands of a buyer and money reached the hands of a seller. If there were some special circumstances that made such a thing OK, there shouldn't be a thread on the matter. That a thread exists, its obvious its not OK.

    The point is name the person in the initial post or don't create the thread in the first place. Tthe point was made in the other thread by several, but I didn't want the point to get lost in the pages of chatter.

    This wasn't anything about salt/wound, but some of you have a flare for the dramatic.

    I was being a combination of humorous and an ****....it's my personality.....which I know is appreciated here (as if I care...ha)

    Yet, the wrong thing was done by the buyer regardless if the seller gets paid today, 10 years from now, or never.

    I guess maybe I'm in the minority thinking there's something wrong with someone taking 6+ months to pay for something and thinking they should have to answer for it in front of everyone. If this took place outside of CP, then its a different matter, but it doesn't sound like that's the case. We can only go on the information that was posted.

    Like I said in the other thread, its all the speculation that this creates the drama. End from the onset it by naming the person or don't start the thread.

    Hey, one thing the thread accomplished is to let all the douchebags know who they can and can't take advantage of here. :biggrin:

    This is an underlying issue of the forum though.......back when this place was fun to be at, people could take a poke and jab and roll with it....they might even laugh and appreciate it...

    Now, we have people that have been here a few months, few years, whatever that say thing as crazy as "faith in humanity has been restored" (i realize it was an exaggeration on the posters part). These new people have no idea what the dynamic use to be, but that doesn't stop them from try too hard and in the process seem to turn the forum into mini "them shows"....enough is enough from some of you.

    When all is said and done, I'm glad Larry will get his money and the issue will be resolved -- FOR HIM. However, since he chose to bring it into the open -- it IS NOT resolved with the forum.

    Since a thread was started, we now have the knowledge that there's someone here who dicks people over for 6+ months by ignoring PMs and E-Mails. The way things work around here is you name that person and they take their medicine in the open forum, whether they're from 2001, 2010, or any time in between. Yes, a long time member will probably get cut more slack than someone who has been here a couple months, but it will still go on the record and they still need to answer for themselves.

    Could be a real hard luck story, who knows. That's no excuse for ignoring the problem.
