People can't do what they say they will do?Yet they sit on their soapbox that they think is their throne!!!

What really sucks is having long time members telling you they will pay you soon (over six months ago) or they will send you something yet not even respond to your PM's or emails..

Yet new members neeed to follow the rules around here or be bashed!!!

    SOP is that you try to work it out via PM, then post it........I'd say it's about time to post it........longtime members or not, rules still apply (no need to get all dramatic about it)

    For those members not in the know or that haven't been around for too long, this type of thread has never been intended to be a wich hunt or anything of the like.

    Sometimes, life happens. Some people need to be motivated and it's been decided that if you are unable to work things out via PM or whatever other method you've used to communicate, that you post it here for two reasons:
    1. Sometimes PM's just don't work or they pay less attention to them than the forums, or
    2. To let people know that until this matter has been resolved, to proceed at their own risk.

    Once resolution has occured, then all parties can move on, but there's no need for people to act stupid in a circle the wagon type of mentality.

    hope your not lumping all the old timers in one category, out this fella and you'll find the old timers frown on such things. is always how we roll here.

    6 months without payment and I assume they have an item in hand you were nice enough to send without payment? You're nicer than me. I'm at or close to buying plane tickets at that point

    Sorry, but how can one ignore PM's and email? At least work something out. I agree that life sometimes throws you a loop and you can't honor a commitment. Own up to it and work with the individual you owe.

    It's disheartening to see so many people up in arms about something who have join dates of 2 years or less. Most haven't been members long enough to even know why people want to start the "witch hunts" and "get the ropes". Half are over zealous in their efforts to protect a community that barely knows who they are and the other half would rather mock those interested in protecting the fold than have the issue dealt with it seems.

    There are no written rules about this. It's the idea that you protect you and yours and that includes those whom you would call friend. The same way you get ticked off when a friend or family members tells you that they have been hoodwinked in some way, you feel violated as well because of your connection. Those that don't have as strong of a connection seem to try too hard and those that mock...well, it makes me wonder if you even have the friends necessary to have the connections to identify with at all and understand what the mentality behind this even is.

    I don't see this ending well. I'm disappointed in that. The forum tends to police itself fairly well but when over-zealous Farvas get in to the mix, egos get bruised, toes get stepped on and feelings get hurt. Then the drama hits a fevered pitch and everybody gets yelled at to sit down, shut up and grown up. Then everybody grumbles around for a couple months all butthurt while the tensions gradually subside.

    TOOLFORLIFEFAN, I'm sorry you have extended your trust to someone and they have violated it. Thank you for bringing it to the attention of the forum. I would suggest that if you have not done so already, to email/PM Patrick and the mods and see if there is anything they can do to assist in contacting the offending user before the drama wagon starts rolling through the streets here yet again.

    Larry, what's the point in posting this? If someone owes you money and it's been a while, plus he/she's not responding to your PM/emails, just bring it out. It's not the first time this happens, it won't be the last one, and you should not feel bad or remorse for doing it.

    I'm not going to call anybody out. Just something irritated me this week and I just wanted to vent, It is what it is.

    I don't want a thread of bashing. If I see anything that needs to be said I will say it. There is a lot of good guys on here that I hope to meet one day just to shoot the ****, they know who they are as we speak on the phone from time to time.

    I'm sure they will read this and something will be said Via PM.Time will tell.

    All kidding aside, you're pretty much obligated to say something now that you've started a thread alluding to an issue because the rest of the forum may have to deal with this person in the future and may want to avoid a potential headache. That's just the way it works. Six months is far too long and ignored PMs and E-Mails isn't acceptable. The rest of the forum deserves to know whats going on so there's a record of it. I've seen a few people screw up over the years and make good and everyone got over it.

    This thread shouldn't exist if we're all gonna have to speculate, which is what causes the real drama that isn't needed.

    I have no delusions about my place on the totem pole. I'm not here with the goal of one day having people kiss my feet on the internet. But belittling members who have "only" been here for 2-3 years or whatever for wanting to know who the offender is as a way to protect themselves and/or others is beyond ridiculous. If it was bad enough and been going on for long enough for Larry to make this thread, it's a big enough deal that people should know, and that's all. I'm really unsure what logical argument could go against that.



    For the record, i go commando, and i REALLY thought i was the creamiest of the cream of the crop here. :tongue: (and jeans seams don't feel REAL great in my ****.)

    If I felt in anyway that someone/anyone else would be getting shafted I would have stated a name/or names.

    Trust me on this I would not let someone else get shafted. Just give it some time..

    How long does it usually take to get shafted? 6 months, 1 year?
    If he was a new member with 100 posts would you have been shafted already?

    6 months and no payment, no replies to your PM's and emails says alot about this person. How can we cover up for this type of behavior?
