I'm sure pushing the plate voltage to 3k it could die early so I'm thinking it will under that, but I would think 80w could only be idle.

    Very cool!

They almost look like little fireplace's

    H9,

I thought the lights would pull dim for a quick sec when I powered them on, they powered smoothly. My Adcom will kick the lights dim for a quick sec when I power it up..

HAHA.. Well the GFP-750 will stay, I do wish I had kept the Belles Pre I had  That might have been the ticket with these Amps, but I'm not sure of the fate of the 5802,I will just keep it for now.

I have some things to move around once I can have the SDA's up and running with these amps..

I have been playing them all day and the A9's have so much clarity and depth then I would have ever thought. I still wish they had a more musical tweeter But not bad that is for sure..

These amps just fell into my lap, This is not the path I thought I would find myself in..

Yeah that tweeter can get edgy at times. Does the tubes tame that tweeter any or is it still bright?

It tames it some, just really depends on what your playing as well, But I can hear the detail and depth these amps bring to the table and I know it will be that much better with the SDA's

If you need an SDA cable to use while you get off your **** to build your own, let me know. I'm not using mine....and don't plan on it for quite some time.

Larry what about that Pin/Blade SDA cable I sent you a couple weeks ago, or was that for some other project.

Nice Tube's, Man that takes me back to when I was a kid, My dad was a Ham and use to build his own gear. I just remember that he had built this kilo watt transmitter that had these big **** tubes that would glow and pulsate blue every time he hit the key.

I have to echo Joe's gasp above. That last pic sure puts the size of those MBs in perspective. God those are HUGE!!

They do look like something from a 1950s Sci-fi Laboratory. Not planning to 'take over the world' are we!

I can't imagine that those babies do not put out MORE than 80 watts each? I'm sure DJ and the others are right about that. The sheer weight of each must be phenomenal. Can't wait to hear the review in greater detail.

    Have fun, Larry!

I sent you one yesterday or Friday and never got an answer. so I'll ask here did you get the cable and other stuff I sent you a couple weeks ago? I'm just hoping that USPS didn't loose it or drive over it with a truck or something. Not to be a pest about this but I just want to make sure you got it ok.
