Just got home a little while ago with some mono tube amps. The Big Boys you see are Eimac tubes. These are custom built by Intrinsic Sound here in Denver.

These are rated at 80 watts per amp:eek:. The down side is I can't use them on my SDA's till I build an A1 cable,so in the mean time I am going to bring up my RTiA9's just for fun till then..

Pics!!!!

Why not just hook em up to the sda's without the innerconnect until you build a A1 cable.

About a dozen others have already created Ltd. editions  . Check out DK's thorough write-up on the multiple versions he's built.

They are custom built amps with Eimac tubes. When I went down to pick them up Gary had them running a set of custom built speakers with old school Hartley tweeters and heatsink woofers. They sounded fantastic!!!

Wow Larry, just Wow!!!! You definitely won't need a space heater.
Nope!!! The pics don't do any justice how cool these really are. Looking forward to hooking them up this morning..

Hum.... looked up that tube 301tl found it could output 300w audio, if push / pull it could due 700w audio output at 3000v on the plate.

Thanks!!300w? 700w? WOW!!! I will pick Gary's brain some more. I do know only half the tube is running, if for any reason the tube gave out on that side you can turn it 180% and run the other side. He says these amps are rated at 80 watts thats about all I really know right now. Gary has been building audio equipment for over 30 years, he is a good guy. I don't hang out there near enough.

Being these are my first tube amps I will be getting my learn on.
