I don't know about you guys, but if i only want something $700 worth, if i can't get it for that, then i'm not going to buy it. I fail to see the big deal here.

Now, if the guy came down to $700 after a decent amount of time of negotiating, and then John backed out, yeah. That'd be ****.

This may also be why my 2-channel setup has been 100% stagnant for 11 months now, but that's beside the point. I didn't realise that it was "proper etiquette" to buy things at a higher price than you really wanted to pay. Silly me.

Um he never wanted it in the first place. He picked a price that he was sure the guy wouldn't drop down to. He has a track record of this.

It's simply a comment on John's track record or being a waffler and hot air blower. It gets tiresome.

Maybe if some other polkie was ready to buy it for $750, John would offer $800 and actually buy it.

Thanks for the support. By the time I drove to pick it up and back, the tab would have been more than $800.00. If the price were what I asked for, I would be on my way to grab it right now. The reason I told the forum of my dealings is that I wanted others that may be interested in it to be able to grab it for the price he last offered it to me for.

Good to see the Troll-Squad back in action, way to go Benjamin!

The years of jabbing at him for it from certain members gets a bit tiresome to those who really couldn't care less, as well. One could even call it childish.

He's got some nice gear and is building a beautiful pair of amps. You don't get there by waffling.

End of the day, the comment doesn't apply to this thread. They couldn't reach an agreement on price, no further comments necessary.

If we all spent the time to dig up and constantly dig about shady stuff that's happened in the past on various members, that's all the entire forum would be about.

For the record, i am not defending John's actions in that thread, other than the fact that he did make things right in the end. I am just merely stating that bringing it up in a thread that really has nothing to do with it is... well... counterproductive, off-topic, and again, childish.

There's other people posting in this thread that have made mistakes on this forum, multiple times, actually. Yet they aren't burned at the stake wherever they go for it. Why is that?

    1) Stick to the topic of the forum. This way information is easily categorized to make it easy for new members to access. Threads or posts that do not contain relevant information will be removed.

    2) Trolling - members who make a conscious effort to inflame or irritate others will be subject to warnings and/or bans.

    5) No baiting or fighting. Personal attacks, trouble making, inappropriate language, or any threatening or offensive behavior will not be tolerated.

The ones that sprang immediately to mind seem to have been deleted, or the search function sucks. I'm not making bets on which is the actual situation.

And while i'm also bored, this thread was already more than enough drama to fulfill my WEEKLY requirement by itself.

But if you'd REALLY like, i can quick make a call to make sure that what i'm thinking of wasn't just my figment of imagination?

I find it hilarious that YOU of all people are quoting the rules when you troll just as much as anybody. Sorry your feelings got hurt, but posting the rules is LAME, considering you are always in the mix with against other people, of course whenever you're trying to suck up to certain members. Since the spotlight is now on you, you're crying foul and posting the rules.

Your character is shining through again. Can dish it out, but can't take it. Classic!

Who dished out??? This thread was about an amp, and was sidetracked by one member with a personal vendetta, and everyone that reads this thread knows that to be true. Everyone else is just trolling, pure and simple. If you don't like me, that's cool with me. Don't ruin my threads by posting garbage in them, or better yet, place me on ignore. I truly don't care and my feelings are not hurt by any of this. I live in the real world and save my feelings for those in my life that matter.

Who has a personal vendetta against you? I don't. I figured you out a long time ago. I don't don't post in your threads. I don't really care what you post. I actually agree with a good chunk of your political views. Even though we are not supposed to post politics. Should I quote that rule for you? It is real simple. I don't like when people waste other peoples time when it comes to sales. If you really want something then buy it. Some people if not most are selling gear because they need the money. Don't string them along and play games. I am not just talking about this one thread either. You know better.
    Cheers
