Hi.

I have set up my system as a basic configuration. Speakers and sub just to the back of my Onkyo htrc180 amp. No special bi-amping or anything.

Anyway, is there something different I should try with the sub or speakers?

Currently I have monitor 70 series 2 for fronts and a CSI A6 center set to 40hz (microphone auto set up through amp). My surrounds and back are smaller and set to 140hz.

I primarily use the system for tv and blue ray.

    Thanks for the replies.

What does setting the fronts and centers to small and 80 hz do? Currently it is set up with Onkyo's Audyssey auto eq with the TXH 2 setting.

Thanks. I watched a blu ray last night and it seems to work well. The whole system sounds amazing.

Crossed at 80 seems to be the magic number!

are you guys saying to set to 80hz in the receiver or with the sub.....the manual says to use the receiver/processor setting if you have one and use the LFE input which bypasses the sub's control----I thought.....???

It's referring to the speaker settings. I do not believe you do anything with the sub. You do this through your receiver. I can set my speakers anywhere from 40hz-200hz.

    Cheers.
