right. I think I saw some Navy thing one time in San Diego :-P
In seriousness, I remember visiting a (now-defunct) biotech company that was on a runway approach to Miramar. It was pretty dramatic, actually. -
We do not know what this is yet???????????????????????????
Somebody might want to look into this.
Looks like a rocket or missile to me, but I am basing that on what was shown as a missile launch, on tv from North Korea. I am not saying it is North Korea.I like speakers that are bigger than a small refrigerator but smaller than a big refrigerator:D -
Any chance this was a foreign power demonstrating it's ability to launch a missile off our coastline?

The time to stop pretending that threats to our Nation do not exist was on a sunny day in September almost ten years ago... To not at least be somewhat concerned is to have your head still planted where the sun don't shine. I do not mean to imply that this is true in your case, but to call those of us that are troubled by this "silly" is well... just plain silly.:rolleyes:The Gear... Get bent.
This is certainly known. If it was a loony country hell bent on destroying us, they would have claimed it by now and we would have been all up in their faces over it.
If it actually was a missile, it was the Navy or the Air Force. They know full well what is going on and they have decided that the efforts are too sensitive for general knowledge and have denial of existence status.
If this was a real threat, things like stock markets would be going bonkers and the people in California would notice things like military jets and ships everywhere where they normally aren't.
The sheer lack of response from The Pentagon is evidence that it's nothing special. You know what else is nothing special? The fact that enemies do not fire away from the target. In addition, the only militaries in the world with the underwater technologies that can sneak in to our waters without us knowing are either our friends or not aggressive. The ONLY one who would have the balls to do such a thing is Russia. They would have been bragging about it already.
On top of that, I know for a fact that there is testing occurring in the Pacific right now. I also know that these tests are considered secret. I know because I've been on many of them, myself. Mums the word, we were not even allowed to tell our families where we were going when we were on these testing events.
But yeah, you guys and your tinfoil hats know way more about it than anyone else, right? You have it all figured out, don't ya? If any of you believe one word of the "We dunno" story then you're the ones who are naive.
And that's all if it actually is a missile and not something like an airplane contrail on the horizon.Expert Moron Extraordinaire

So let's pretend it was an attack by a hostile nation or extremist group. Would we really want to stop them prior to destroying CA? I think we let them take out CA as a gesture that they are really serious. I mean what can it hurt? We lose literally nothing of value and we deplete their energy and weapons.DKG999
