    Greyford,
All I can say is thats amazing you did that paint job with a spray can and lots of sanding and polishing.Unreal.Well thats it If you can get that kind of finish with a spray pak Im going to have a go with my compressor and spray gun.Your a magician Greyford thats all I can say.It will be interesting to hear how the sub goes once you get the movies flashed up, that will be where it will really shine.Great job ! I wish you were close to me to give me a hand with my rebuild.

Yep, that's the only way you will know if you can do it or not is just to try. And if it doesn't turn out, well then the belt sander comes out lol. That's what my thinking was when I started lol. Good luck! Can't wait to see how they turn out. Oh, and even my fiance couldn't believe how well it turned out.

Thanks! It's an RE SXX 15. I got the sub from a friend for only $120 brand new, never mounted. Much cheaper then retail:biggrin: I'm guessing maybe around $100 in building materials. And the amp I had from my Dayton build. Full price this sub would cost probably around maybe $500-$550 to build. Would cost a lot more to buy a premade sub like this. Little underpowered right now tho, till I get a new amp. But it still shakes the entire house and really pressurizes the room.

I removed some of the dampening material and got this thing dialed in today. Definitely happy with the way it sounds. Very clean, tight and goes low effortlessly:biggrin: I played One by Metallica and it felt like the bass drum was sitting on my chest. Also popped in Iron Man 2 and the house was definitely shaking:biggrin: Hope I will be satisfied for a little while lol.
